Savor More and Ignore Less

Today’s meditation was skipped.

Deviant Moon Tarot - Queen of CupsToday’s draw is the Queen of Cups, which is traditionally a representation of a receptive (and often nurturing) alpha energy, personality, or person in the area of one’s emotions, relationships, creativity, or intuition.

The queen’s cup overflows in this imagery, and she holds a hand beneath it to catch the drops, speaking of a need to savor one’s emotions… and not waste them. Bare feet show beneath her robes, in a show of vulnerability.  She is open and receptive to the world around her, and desires to feel every drop of emotion she can in life.

The imagery in today’s card asks us where it is we’re ignoring our emotions?  Where do we allow our guard to come up, and our emotions to be neglected?  What can we do to savor more and ignore less?

Questions for October 8th thru 10th – The Unbound

Wee William Witchling Tarot and The Happily Ever After DeckIn perfect love and in perfect trust, to love myself, this is a must:

Page of Scissors and Four of Spades – When to speak up, and when to stay quiet. A good communicator does both at the appropriate times. You often put yourself down for your communication skills, but it’s not always about the skills in speaking your mind in an approachable way that is lacking. You need to understand that it’s often just bad timing that trips yo up.

I embrace the self, my heart and mind, by nurturing this…

Four of Pennies and Seven of Spades – Honor and nurture your feelings of security and stability, including the protections and safety precautions that keep you safe from those that would steal that sense of security from you.

…this I will find:

Grandmother and Queen of Diamonds – You will feel stable enough to delve deeper into your spirit guide work, and allow the aspects involved with this work to grow and flourish.

Awaken now and be all things, what truth can my true nature bring?

Ten of Wands and Eight of Hearts – You have a habit of pushing yourself too hard. This is deeply ingrained in your nature, and will continue to take both work and conscious awareness to circumvent.

Question for October 8th
: What do you need to focus on for self-care for this upcoming full moon?

Deviant Moon Tarot - Five of Wands, Knight of Wands, Seven of CupsReading Summary: Choose your battles wisely (Five of Wands Rx) instead of flying off the handle (Knight of Wands) at every little thing (Seven of Cups).

Take Away: Make sure that you are acting with measured thought instead of just reacting to stimuli.

Your anxiety is up, and this means that you’re more likely and easily to be riled. When these emotions rise up, make sure that you take a moment to think things through before reacting.

Daily Self Kindness

I spent a good part of the day hemming and hawing over banking concerns, then finally set it aside for later. (The setting it aside for later is the self-kindness part.)
