Month End Check-In Tarot Reading with The Yellow House Tarot

Here and Now I Exist – Who you are now, in your entirety.

The Hermit – You are seeking alone time and feeling a desire to retreat from the world at this time. As mentioned in the blue moon reading done yesterday, the trick to this at the moment is in finding the motivation to engage in healthy alone time instead of the unhealthy variety.

The Slough – What is to be left in the past as you move forward.

Seven of Coins – Don’t over-complicate long term endeavors. Just because something takes a long time to accomplish doesn’t mean it has to be complicated, or need your full attention all the time. Like some plants, some endeavors thrive under neglect rather than constant attention to detail.

What Lies Ahead – An ideal state or ideal self you are seeking at this time.

King of Coins – Resource stability. With taxes done for both personal and business, your property taxes paid, the levy on your building paid, your accountant paid, etc., you are feeling the need to recover financially and work on reestablishing some solid footing.

Limitations – Negative influences, opposition, or ill will.

The Empress – Don’t pamper yourself to the point you become lazy or lackadaisical. Not all self-care is about languishing. Sometimes it means getting in the garden to work among the flowers and/or otherwise building up a sweat in the sunshine and shade.

The Boon – Positive influences, higher guidance, or divine intervention.

Time / Wheel of Fortune – Do some of the things that tend to cause you to lose track of time. Your time and attention is not strictly regimented right now, which means it’s the perfect time to lose yourself in the activities where time doesn’t really matter.

The Wound – An unpleasant past experience or event that is ripe for some support and healing.

Ace of Cups – Take time to revisit some of those emotions from the past that you found confusing or difficult to identify and deal with. You may find them easier to identify and/or deal with now that there has been some time and space between you and them. Sometimes a little distance helps put things in perspective.

Nostalgia – A positive past experience or event to acknowledge, reflect upon, and enjoy.

Page of Wands atop Ten of Coins – In both the present and the past, you’ve enjoyed feeding those you care about foods that you have grown yourself. This year that may be your teas and herbs, but don’t give up the dream idea of growing more on your balcony next year.

A Warning – Something coming that can be prevented or overcome.

The Hanged One Rx – Take care to pay attention to your initial reactions to things, and take time to observe and consider before you actually act or respond. You don’t want to jump the gun, as that won’t provide you with the results you desire.

Empowerment – A future opportunity to work toward.

Three of Cups – That togetherness you’ve been feeling lately with others holds a great deal of promise if you nurture it.

Message from the Spirit World – Take your time when in the company of those you enjoy spending time with. Linger and enjoy rather than taking these moments for granted or rushing through them.

Message from the Mind’s World – The stability you desire is going to take some time and soul searching. It will return, though, with a little perseverance to get you there.

Message from the Physical World – That new balcony garden plan you’re considering needs some more planning, and now is the time to do some of that planning. Don’t put it off til later, because it’s going to come together in fits-and-starts.

Playful Heart Tarot - The Devil

Today’s draw is The Devil card, which is traditionally a representation of temptation, struggles with moderation, harmful excesses, addiction, and self-harm.

The Devil card has then been combined with a LOBILAT Rumi Quotes card, which says, “When you do things from your soul, you feel a river inside you, a joy.”

I feel that it’s important to examine one’s motivations. Not just the motivations of others, but our personal motivations as well. Are we doing the things we do from a place of love and connection with our true selves? Or are we doing them out of spite or some other negative emotions?

It makes a difference; not only on if we should do these things, but also on how they affect us personally. If they are an alignment with who we are and come from a place of love, then they help to further our growth and connect us more deeply with ourselves. If they come from outside of that source, they have the potential to pull us away from our authenticity and the values that we prioritize.

The message in today’s Devil and affirmation cards is a reminder that sometimes our emotions can lead us astray. Vengeance, retaliation, moments of spite, or lashing out in anger are all things that we are tempted to indulge in from time to time. It’s in looking at our motivations during these moments that we either align with our authentic selves, or deviate from that authenticity and weaken our connection to it.

Full Moon in Sagittarius - Blue Moon Tarot Reading with the Faery Wheel Tarot

EXPAND : your horizons are calling

King of Wands – Use the bursts of extra energy you are experiencing to expand upon your goals. Instead of teeth clenching and anxiety attacks, repurpose this energy into branching out in those things you’re passionate about.

RELEASE : what outgrows you

Six of Pentacles Rx – Continue to work on letting go of that urge to do everything on your own. A king leads others, thus as you use these burst of energy to grow and expand, bring others in to assist you instead of closing them out.

TRUST : the path unfolding

Six of Wands – You need to learn how to work together with others and find joy in that journey. Despite what you were taught growing up, validation is sweeter when earned through togetherness instead of through individualism and spotlighting personal achievement.

MOVE : clarity comes with motion

The Star – Stop waiting for “the right time” to arrive when certain success is guaranteed. Sometimes you have to embark on something and just trust that it’s going to work out in the end. These moments of uncertainty are a test to your ability to foster hope and keep that hope alive during hardships and uncertainty.

CHOOSE : expansion over fear; freedom over doubt

Ace of Wands – It’s okay to get excited. It’s okay to play and have fun and feel joy. Give yourself permission to experience these things, and in doing so that creative spark within you will rekindle to life once more.

BECOME : the version you’ve been dreaming of

The Hermit – You long for more alone time, but are currently unmotivated to find healthy ways to indulge in it. Don’t indulge in unhealthy alone time just because you’re not feeling motivated to reach out for a healthier version. Quality control is important.

: What I want to carry into summer

Tarot Reading with the Playful Hearts Tarot

Reading Summary: The new emotional connection you’ve been experiencing with long trusted friends and allies (Ace of Cups and Six of Cups) is something you would like to see not just continue but expand into a sense of true harmony (Ten of Cups).

Take Away: There’s been a lot less political talk, nitpicking, and button pushing going on of late around those that you care deeply for. This has equated to less resentment and harsh feelings for not just yourself, but for all involved.

The respite has made you feel like there’s some potential here for true harmony and happiness when all are spending time together.

You would like to see this sense of harmony continue into the summer so that you can spend time with these people without having to be confronted with those negative feelings and experiences that always arise when politics and nitpicking bet involved.

❤️ Self Care Saturday (On a Sunday)

These Saturday readings are (not usually) bearing in on any one thing or event in my life, as the question used is asking for a more general outlook. This is a self care exercise, and is not meant as a predictive reading… although that, too, happens on occasion.

The question is… What do I need to focus for self-care through the week ahead?

Self Care Saturday Tarot Reading with the Tyldwick Tarot and The Marginal Lenormand

EarthThe Devil – Pay attention to your temptations this week and their possible pitfalls. If you’re going to indulge, ensure that you are fully aware and accepting of the consequences beforehand.

AirThe Hanged Man – It’s better to watch, wait, and gather information this week, than it is to jump ahead and be spontaneous. Make sure you’re thinking things through before taking the leap.

WaterThe Magician – You have the tools to keep yourself where you want to be emotionally this week. It’s your choice whether you use them or not, but if you want things to stay balanced and at an even keel, it would be a good idea to start picking up those tools and using them as intended.

FireSix of Coins – Every endeavor you pursue requires a give-and-take. Make sure as you embark on these endeavors this week that what you have to give for them is worth what you’re taking away from the experience.

WaningClouds and House – Don’t allow your emotions to twist you out of sorts this week. Return to the familiar to find balance instead of allowing yourself to fall into chaos.

WaxingTree and Fox – Focus on devising ways to take care of yourself that make the process more fun. It doesn’t have to be a discordant activity that you don’t enjoy if you put your mind and cleverness into turning these activities into something more enjoyable.

Take Away – Why are you looking at your self care activities as chores instead of as enjoyable pursuits? Take time this week to look at where you are doing this, and seek out a solution that allows you to enjoy these activities instead. In doing so, you lay the path to being more eager to reach for them in the future. This includes your efforts toward positivity and optimism, meditation, etc. Find the fun.

Rackham Tarot - The Tower

Today’s draw is The Tower card, which is traditionally a representation of sudden change, chaotic transformation, destruction, and the tearing down of something within one’s life or beliefs that leaves room for something new to take its place.

The Tower card has then been combined with the Waiting For a Sign card from The Az 2 Oracle, which says, “If you’re waiting for a sign… that waiting IS your sign. It means you want to do something, but you don’t yet trust yourself, or that your own wanting IS the sign, or perhaps you’re trying to figure out if it’s right, or good so that it doesn’t turn out wrong, or bad. In that case I’d like to remind you: have you ever had something bad turn out good? have you ever had something good turn out bad? mmmhhhmm, that’s what we thought. So we say forget trying to pin that sucker down and just let the bunny of your wanting HOP.

Taking care of things before they come to ahead allows you to have more control over the situation than waiting until everything crashes down on you. This means that sometimes instead of waiting for conditions to be perfect or for things to fall apart on their own, we need to step up and actually do that disassembling ourselves. In doing so we can create an atmosphere that is filled with less chaos and more creation.

The message in today’s Tower card and affirmation is a reminder that we don’t have to wait to make the things we want to happen come about. Sometimes it’s about getting ahead of what’s coming, instead of waiting it out or for all the chips to fall.

Tarot Reading with the 5 Cent Tarot

Reading Summary: Use your time in play with Gid (Knight of Cups) to focus on slowing down (Eight of Matches Rx) and brining yourself back into balance (Temperance) this week.

Take Away: You have been super stressed over the past week, and it’s showing itself through those panic attacks you’ve been experiencing.

Gideon goes on vacation next week, so use this one to spend some quality time with him. Allow that time to help draw you back to the quiet calm within, where those anxiety attacks are less likely to find you.

Once you have managed to unwind, they will ease, and you can then use their residual energy to your advantage to get a few things done while he’s away.

What “enough” feels like right now

Book, Nine of Coins, The Muse

You are currently tapped out creatively and just need some time to appreciate what you have already accomplished. Pushing yourself to learn more skills at this time will only continue to keep you in that “tapped out” state.

Instead, take time to just appreciate what you have and wait for inspiration to find you. That spark of creativity will return when you’ve gotten the rest and restoration you need.

A gift hiding in my ordinary life

Purse, Eight of Coins Rx, The Enchanter

You have the ability and opportunity to take your breaks when you need them and get the rest you need to recover. It isn’t like in the early days where you had to constantly push yourself to your limits again and again.

You may sometimes feel like you’re still in that earlier space and time, but the truth is that your current situation allows you to take breaks when you need to… and you need to take them instead of falling into that punishing workaholic mindset from your past.

What is repeating that needs my attention?

Page of Cups – The emotions that confuse you repeat on you like acid reflux because you are not giving them enough attention when they present themselves. Each time they repeat, they leave you raw and overwhelmed. Sit with them a bit longer and take time to explore them instead of trying to move on so quickly.

What am I avoiding that needs my attention?

Five of Pentacles – Take a closer look at your finances. Seek out those things that are adding to your feelings of scarcity and deal with them, instead of letting them continue to cause foundational discomfort and disruption.

What is closing that needs my attention?

The Star – You need to spend more time focusing upon your efforts towards incorporating hope and optimism into your life. Give yourself what you need to feel happy and complete. By not doing so, that window of positivity closes a little bit more each day, giving pessimism and your depression a foothold to take its place.

What is returning that needs my attention?

Seven of Swords – The values and ideals of others are not your own. Take the time to reconnect with what is truly important to you, rather than adopting the mindset of apathy that allows others the power and ability to push you further and further from what you feel is truly important.

Full Moon advice from the Minoan Goddess Amalthea.

Death – If the changes you see coming aren’t something you want to happen, do something about it. You don’t have to take all of it lying down, but rather learn to move and dance with the storm in order to bend rather than break.

Daily Mental Health Prompt: Seek a positive message to carry with you throughout the day and offer perspective.

Wyspell Tarot - Two of Pentacles

Today’s draw is the Two of Pentacles, which is traditionally a representation of juggling responsibilities, work/life balance, and prioritization.

The Two of Pentacles is then combined with an affirmation from the Pass Around the Smile Positive Guidance Cards for Kids, which says, “Believe in yourself. You can achieve whatever it is that you want, if you truly believe in yourself.”

Find your own sense of balance before diving into the rest.

When you believe in yourself, anything is possible. The key here is believing in yourself, though. It’s in believing that you can do the work and achieve the results of that work.

I feel like there’s too many people out there these days trying to “manifest” the results they want without being willing to put in the work to get there. That’s not how this works, though. You can’t just want something bad enough and it’ll fall in your lap.

That includes working on ourselves.

Manifestation Quote from Tarotholics Discord Member
Quoted text from Discord Tarotholics Member

The message in today’s Two of Pentacles and affirmation card is a reminder that there’s more to manifestation than wishful thinking. If you truly want something, you have to act on it. Nothing worth having is going to fall into your lap without you putting in the actual work to get it.

How can you better express loving care for yourself today?

Hermit atop The Magician; Pigeon

Consider your alone time a tool used to help you recover from time with others, and prepare you for the next.

Instead of hiding or avoidance, use this time to constructively prepare yourself as well as recover from what came before.

This time shouldn’t make you feel guilty, but rather it’s a form of empowerment over your own needs. Those that love you will understand this.

How can you better express to loved ones how you feel about them?

Tarot Reading with the Wyspell Tarot

Reading Summary: You’re so darned worried (Nine of Swords tipped right) that you’re going to lose what you have (Seven of Swords atop Four of Pentacles) that you’re not enjoying it to its fullest while you have it (The Fool).

Take Away: Work on taking more joy in the journey, rather than always either focusing on the negative or on the next goal.

Too often, you ignore the good stuff in order to plow forward and succeed more, build a stronger foundation, or shore up your resources. You do this so often that you forget to have fun and enjoy what you have in the here and now.

These cards encourage letting go of that need to always be plowing forward toward your next goal or a greater sense of stability, and instead take time to enjoy what you have while you have it. Right now in the moment… not later.
