Feelings of Insufficiency

Today’s meditation was skipped.

Tarot Avatara - Nine of PentaclesToday’s draw is the Nine of Pentacles, which is traditionally a representation of satisfaction, accomplishment, financial independence, abundance, and luxury earned through hard work.

In the pull for positivity that this card of the day is focused upon, this card is a reminder to be grateful for all that you’ve accomplished and all that you have.

There will always be a nagging, ever-present feeling of “insufficiency” if one doesn’t take time to truly appreciate what they already have in life.  We try to fill the ever gaping “empty hole” in our lives without ever realizing that it is already full… if only we will pay attention to what we have in which to be grateful for, and cherish these things for the treasures that they are.

: The Lilith Tarot Spread

Lilith Tarot Reading with the Tarot Avatara

Where in my life am I guided {by Lilith} to be more assertive and independent?

Temperance atop The Universe – With yourself. Take control of your need to control every little thing on you path. There needs to be an element of unpredictability in your life. The more you try to obliterate and control that factor, the more it will continue to crop up in unexpected ways.

Where would Lilith like to see me {re}claim my personal power and strengthen my voice?

King of Wands atop Two of Pentacles atop Queen of Cups Rx – Don’t be a “judgy bitch” to yourself about having a bit of fun while you accomplish your dreams. There’s room in life for work and fun both. Don’t kill off the pleasure that nurtures your inner creative spark by letting things get too heavy.

Something I should no longer deny or not allow to be oppressed {according to Lilith}?

Nine of Pentacles and Adjustment – As notated in the card of the day pulled earlier, you need to adjust your view of life by allowing yourself more time for reflection on all you have to be grateful for.

Daily Self Kindness

This is a catch-up post, and I cannot remember what I might have done as a self-kindness on this day.

📆 Transitioning from June to July

Month End Check-Up Tarot Reading with The Pacific Northwest Tarot and The Crystal Forests Oracle

Here and Now I Exist – Who you are now, in your entirety.

The Sun and Amethyst – You have been reminded again and again to lean into positivity and optimism. It’s been a tough road, but you are in a place right now to facilitate those efforts.

The Slough – What is to be left in the past as you move forward.

Four of Cups and Golden Healer – Sensitivity and sloth. It’s time to act. Leave behind the dragging feet, stagnation, and stubbornly cloying complacency. Lift your feet from the muck and start moving, and in doing so you will feel your energies begin to lighten and become more active as well.

What Lies Ahead – An ideal state or ideal self you are seeking at this time.

The Hanged One and Lapis Lazuli – Clarity. You seek a mind unfiltered by bias or clouded by the fuzz of uncertainty or depression.

Limitations – Negative influences, opposition, or ill will.

Wheel of Fortune atop Six of Wands Rx, Fire Opal – Public opinion is fickle as hell. Don’t depend on others for the clarity you seek. Their perspectives are only a piece of the puzzle, and far from the full picture or absolute truth.

The Boon – Positive influences, higher guidance, or divine intervention.

Temperance and Copper – Set your own pace that allows you to look around with gratitude and treat yourself with kindness. When you do this, it will still get you where you want to go, but at a far more enjoyable (and sustainable) pace.

The Wound – An unpleasant past experience or event that is ripe for some support and healing.

Eight of Swords and Blue Kyanite – Forgive yourself for not seeing all of the bad stuff coming before it hits. No one ever sees everything or picks up on all the warning signs. In retrospect we see so much more that we couldn’t have known was important in the moment.

Nostalgia – A positive past experience or event to acknowledge, reflect upon, and enjoy.

Page of Pentacles and Rainbow Moonstone – You need to reflect on all the good that meditation has done for you in the past and allow this awareness of its positive influences it to inspire you to begin again.

A Warning – Something coming that can be prevented or overcome.

Nine of Cups atop Two of Cups Rx, Tanzanite – Sometimes social discord can lead to a better place overall. There is a clash of minds is on the horizon, and you may want to let it happen instead of trying to divert, as it will lead to a far better place if you ride it out.

Empowerment – A future opportunity to work toward.

The High Priestess and Labradorite – You have the opportunity coming your way to expand into your intuition and stretch it into a more comfortable fit.

Message from the Spirit World – It is through your intuition that you will be able to set a pace for yourself that allows for both healthy rest and recuperation, as well as energetic movement toward your goals.  There has to be balance between the two in order to find true happiness.

Message from the Mind’s World – The mental health healing that you need can be found through instilling more positivity and optimism into your day to day life.  Through this new perspective you can find a more crisp and clear mental state.

Message from the Physical World – It is time to step away from self abuse and self neglect. No one can do this for you. You have to make the decision to do it for yourself. You know the things that can help you find a greater sense of physical stability.  Meditation is at the top of the list, and where you need to start.

Take Away –  This reading is primarily about movement and stagnancy, it’s about making sure I’m not lingering any longer in the stagnant energies that have held me back this spring and summer, and instead pushing myself forward into action and movement so that I can begin stirring up energies that need a breath of fresh air.

Attracting Abundance Tarot Reading

Attracting Abundance Oracle Reading with L'Oracle des Miroirs

My current relationship with allowing abundance.

Santé – Your current relationship with allowing abundance is healthy and thriving. You don’t see this as your due, but rather one of those things your skills and abilities allow you to work towards.

How to get myself in alignment.

Voyage – Step outside and spend some time in nature. You’ve spent a lot of time avoiding doing what you know will help ground and center you throughout this spring and summer. The weather has been perfect for you to get out into the forest and spend some time among the trees, so stop wasting it by dawdling indoors.

An energy I need to integrate to have an enlightened perspective on abundance.

Projection – Remember that what your mind focuses on is what you manifest. Therefore if you are focusing on the negative and the pessimistic viewpoint, that is what you will manifest. By the same turn if you focus on positivity, optimism, and gratitude you will manifest more abundance as a result.

Current blessing I should be grateful for.

Compromis – The give-and-take of working with others in a positive manner allows you to manifest positive results should be acknowledged with gratitude. It is through this atmosphere of collaboration that you are able to get things done more easily and in a more timely manner.

What I should be investing my energy into to attract abundance.

Tranquillité – You need to invest more time in your spiritual practice and meditation. These things allow you to have a more grounded foundation upon which to work from to achieve your goals and attract more abundance into your life.

That Too-Tight Grip

Today’s meditation was skipped.

Little Prince Tarot - Four of PentaclesToday’s draw is the Four of Pentacles, which is traditionally a representation of stability, control, conservation and conservatism, security, saving money or conserving resources, and at times miserly behavior and greed.

In the imagery of today’s card I see greed and control.  It is in the set of the character’s features, his balance with the coils below and above him, the raised brow, and the hug of the coin to his red clad chest. This man knows exactly where his priorities lie and woe to any that try to distract or dissuade him.

The card pulled today questions where we are too rigid, too unmoving, or too controlling in life? Where could we benefit from loosening up a bit and going with the flow?  It is a reminder that happiness does not reside solely in rigidity and too much of these things can lead to stagnancy and suffocation.  That makes this card today an encouragement to ease up and relax our grip on those things we are holding on to too tight.

Philosophical Questions for June 29th

Ganeshian Village TarotAre we ever morally obliged to take action?

The Moon – Yes, although it can often be uncertain in the moment as to when, as well as what, should be done.  Sometimes that uncertainty can cause us to be a bit too cautious.

If so, under what circumstances?

Four of Pentacles – In many situations, it is instilling stability that allows situations to deescalate or be diffused. To create stability for yourself and others, it is often necessary to step in and take action.

Seven of Wands – To stand up for your principles and what you believe in. This is one of the ways that we can provide stability for others, as well as for ourselves.

Six of Wands – But, not to just earn accolades. Some people step in and take action only when they can receive accolades for their actions. Although stepping up and stepping in when help is needed is always a good thing, this particular motivation can be problematic.

Questions for June 28th thru 30thDt

Little Prince TarotWhat can the New Moon in Cancer kick-start for me within my magical practice?

Eight of Wands – Motivation that will allow you to lean into your passion projects and work towards getting them done.

What higher truth is Neptune Rx trying to bring to light for me?

Seven of Swords atop Eight of Sword – The things you try to turn a blind eye to and ignore are the things that turn into a problem over time. When these issues are put in the dark and not tended to, they have the ability to grow out of proportion in the shadows, and end up causing troubles and anxiety later on.

What have I learned about my magic, or myself, this month?

The Lovers Rx – You have a weakness for ignoring your own needs and pretending they don’t exist, often blocking yourself from the self care you need most.

How have I grown within my magic throughout June?

Four of Wands – You are re-rooting, and thus becoming more appreciative of what is needed for your grounding and comfort. The importance of having that stability of being well grounded has been something you’ve been reminded of throughout the month of June, giving you a greater appreciation for the value of grounding exercises as a regular practice.

What am I asked to take to heart or embrace as I move on past June, through July and August?

Five of Cups atop Four of Cups Rx – Make sure that you are paying attention to the times your pessimism rears up, and being active in combating it so that it doesn’t get the upper hand in your life.

Weekly Creativity Prompt – The Feels

Prompt: “Draw a single random card from (one of) your favorite decks and share how the card’s imagery makes you feel.”

The Pinokkio Tarot by Sagittis - The FoolDisgusted. I mean honestly, that was my first reaction when I saw this card. Disgust.

Pinokkio has decided to lay among the grass and flowers, and because he’s not paying attention to his surroundings and has lain himself down in an inadvisable place, he’s going to get pissed on by a dog.

Interestingly, my feeling of disgust concerning this card are very similar to the feeling of disgust I get when I find people who are willfully ignorant and choose to do stupid shit without thinking about it first. So the feeling is very accurate for the Fool where I am concerned, as the Fool is often quite irresponsible and oblivious to their surroundings in most cases.

My disgust in this picture would turn my perspective on the meaning of the Fool’s placement in a reading into something slightly more cautionary or negative. Ie: a warning about not paying attention, taking care to do not do foolish things, or a message about thinking before you act.
