Asking For Help

Today’s meditation was done in the bathtub to the soothing tunes of Ms Ebba Forsberg’s Been There album (which I believe is her absolute best piece of work to date with the addition of the song “Real Slow” on the Falling Folding Flipping Feeling album).

Tarot Balbi Argentinian EditionToday’s draw is the Five of Pentacles, which is traditionally a representation of tests, trials, struggles, and setbacks in the area of one’s finances, resources, health, home, work, or manifestations. This often translates into themes that have to do with scarcity and Times when one needs to seek out help from others instead of suffering through alone.

In this card, the coins look like flowers, and the plants appear to be supporting them.  This speaks to me of that need to seek out help when you need it instead of forcing yourself to suffer on your own or insisting you can handle it yourself.

I’m very guilty of this stubborn insistence.  It’s not pride so much as history that has taught me this is the way it should be, and it is a habit I am actively working on breaking.   Today’s card is a reminder of this journey, and the need to seek out help when you need it. No garden flourishes without a little help from not just the gardener, but also the rain and sun.

Aunt Lily's Tarot and Spirit of the Wheel OracleHow is the rise of summer energies manifesting in my life?

Seven of Swords and West – Time is getting away from you. You’re doing well and resting and are enjoying it. And, that recuperation is needed. But not so much that you miss out getting on top of the things you want to get done this summer. If you don’t start moving soon and get that creative spark motivated, time is going to get away from you right up into the fall and the beginning of the holiday season.

How can I harness these summer energies for my purpose?

The Chariot and Growth – Seize the day and get going.

Where would I be best served in directing these energies throughout the summer months?

Page of Pentacles and South – Sometimes having to be an adult sucks, but it’s a necessary part of life. It’s time to re-introduce more “adulthood” into your life and motivation, instead of avoiding the projects that need done.

Questions for June 5th

Tarot Balbi Argentinian EditionI am strong enough to…

Knight of Pentacles and Page of Wands – …lend my passion and drive to new things at a less breakneck pace than I’m used to. Not everything has to be a rush, and a little restraint would be a good (and healthy) thing.

So I can…

Queen of Swords and Two of Swords – …make better decisions based on my experience and logic instead of just “winging it”. Not that “winging it” doesn’t turn out okay, but it’s a whole lot more stress than if you take your time and do things at a more manageable pace.

Daily Self Kindness

I soaked in the tub today. It was so nice I didn’t want to get out.

❤️ Self Care Saturday (On a Sunday)

These Saturday readings are (not usually) bearing in on any one thing or event in my life, as the question used is asking for a more general outlook. This is a self care exercise, and is not meant as a predictive reading… although that, too, happens on occasion.

The question is… What do I need to focus for self-care through the week ahead?

The Dreaming Way Tarot, Cat Herbal Deck, and The Dreaming Way Lenormand

EarthTen of Cups and Cleavers (Galium aparine) – take some time to really appreciate what you have and where you are this week. Enjoy those around you with a sense of gratitude, seek peace and quiet to help further is anxieties in the areas of your finances, resources, and stability. Much of your anxiety is fueled by your perception, so focus that perception towards the good that you have and foster emotional peace in this area.

AirAce of Wands and Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) – Combat your negative inner narrative by taking a look at just how good you are at putting into motion your ideas. Give yourself some credit and allow that to be a balm for the wounds that your inner narrative has created over the past few months.

WaterKnight of Wands and Hyssop (Hyssopus officinalis) – Turn around and face forward.

Make sure you are looking ahead as you move into the coming week. There’s no point ruminating on the past and rehashing over the mistakes you might’ve made. This only creates negative space for pessimism to grow. Instead, look forward toward feelings of hope and what you hope to achieve. Allow that hope to lift you up emotionally. This is a conscious choice for you to make and is completely within your control.

FirePage of Swords and Hawthorn (Crataegus oxyacantha) – Don’t be cruel to yourself just because things are slow right now. Use this time to give yourself an opportunity to learn how to do even better to further things along. It’s okay to feel frustrated with the lag in the business, just don’t take it out on yourself.

WaningMountain and Tree – You need to start taking better care of your physical health so that health and mobility issues are less of an issue for you. This involves not just making sure you are eating more healthy, but also ensuring you aren’t cutting your PT short but doing the full routine.

WaxingLady and Coffin – Pay attention to changes that might be indicating that you’re moving back deeper into the pit of depression.   You have a chance to change the potential backsliding, but it’s going to require self awareness.

Take Away – This week is all about working on clearing the lip of the depression’s pit, and what’s needed to make sure that even should I not clear the lip, no backsliding happens.
