I didn’t manage to fit in meditation again today. My schedule got all screwed up when I had to go get my bloodwork done and it ended up taking about three times longer than anticipated.
Death – No, not literal death, although, it can predict that as well. The Death card is about change. Specifically, it’s about organic change that happens naturally over time, a little at a time. You know it’s coming. You might try to ignore it, but you know it’s coming whether you want to accept it or not. That’s the Death card. And from death, new life rises. That’s what I see here in the nightscape of mushrooms and rising lights. New life, grown out of decay.
This card is asking where focus is needed to foster growth after loss. What is it time to let go of so that there can be room for something new and better to take its place. Pay attention today to this theme, and search out those things to breathe fresh air and new life into places that have become a bit too stagnant.

No meditation again, although I swear I intend to get back on it. Tomorrow.
Nine of Pentacles – This card is all about accomplishment, and taking stock of all you have done. It is a reminder that sometimes you have to turn your gaze away from the future and your goals, and instead just appreciate how far you’ve come and how much you’ve accomplished already.

Today’s meditation was ten minutes long, and was about showing our compassion, and how when we do so we connect more deeply with those around us. I dozed off somewhere in the last two minutes or so of the meditation, though, so I couldn’t tell you how it ends.
Eight of Swords – This card is about being stuck… and fearful to move. It speaks of a need for clarity and a clear head before you make any decisions. If you step forward with your eyes still closed, you risk getting hurt pretty badly. Take your time and pull the blindfold off. Let the information you need to make wise decisions come forward and you’ll be able to untie your hands and make the decisions you need to make from a place of informed clarity instead of blinded confusion.
