Today’s meditation was just over ten minutes long, and was another of the quiet mediation where I was unguided and simply focused on my breathing.
Today’s draw is the Mother of Wands, which is traditionally a representation of a receptive alpha energy, personality, or person in the area of one’s passions, drive, willpower, determination, values, and principles.
In this image a snake coils protectively around her clutch of eggs, the stick thrust through the middle not distracting her from what is most valued.
Support those things most important to you. Don’t let outside distractions pull you from these things. There are always going to be different curiosities and distractions out there, but you need to stand fast for those things of true value, no matter what else is going on.

#DiscordTarotholicsAug2022 Challenge Prompt
Question for August 8th: What can I do to help my inner child feel more protected?
Reading Summary: Don’t let impatience (Eight of Wands) rob you of your natural curiosity (Ace of Wands Rx). Learn, instead, to better battle that impatience and the negative impacts (Son of Swords) of it with hope and optimism (The Star).
Take Away: For your inner child to feel more protected, you need to ensure that you lean into positive themes so that you don’t smother your curiosity beneath the weight of pessimism. Your inner child wants to explore and experience things, find fun and enjoy the process. Impatience to “get things done” ruins the atmosphere of exploration and curiosity.
