The Call Prompt for November 1st : Mist
Daily Mental Health Prompt: Seek a positive message to carry with you throughout the day and offer perspective.
Today’s draw is the Queen of Cups (Eggs), which is traditionally a representation of a receptive alpha energy, personality, or person in the area of one’s emotions, relationships, creativity, and intuition. Among other things, this often translates into themes to do with emotional support and advice from a trusted party that is easy to talk to.
For me, due to my lack of experience with them, emotions often seem to surface out of nowhere, unidentifiable and sometimes a bit intimidating in their enigma.
It can be difficult not to shove them in a box or bury them, which has been my go-to reaction for the majority of my life.
The thing is? Even if emotions are unknown and confusing doesn’t mean they’re wrong or harmful. Instead, it means they need to be treated with patience and kindness, so that they can be coaxed out of the fog so they can be seen more clearly.
The message in today’s Queen of Eggs and “Mist” prompt is a reminder that emotions need time and kindness to truly show themselves fully. These cards encourage us to try sitting with our emotions, especially the confusing or difficult ones, instead of pushing back against them or finding ways to ignore them.

Prompt for November 1st : Do the All Saints Day Spread
A message that your Ancestors would like to give you at this time
Blood Moon on Tombstones – Pocket Knife
“The clouds have parted to reveal your answer. Yes.”
Don’t allow yourself to give up the fight just because you’re currently benched. Be ready to jump in when everything is revealed and the time is right.
A message your Ancestors have been trying to convey that you have not been receptive to in the past
Trinkets From the Sea – Hedge Sheers
“As the wind blows through the trees you can hear your answer lift off the edge of each leaf. Yes.“
Keep in mind that part of your joy in getting out in nature is in returning those things from your specimen box back to the forest and collecting new ones to take their place.
It’s time to refresh your specimen box!
How to be more open to messages from your Ancestors in the future
Illuminated Heart Among Clouds – Ornament
“The Universe is vast and filled with unknowns. This is one of them. Try again.”
Seek connection through your emotions. As you have moved along the path of learning about your emotions, you have become closer and closer to those reaching out from the other side. This is not a coincidence. To connect with and be more open to their messages, continue down this path of emotional discovery and growth.
How to honor and connect more strongly with your Ancestors going forward.
Love Match – Pinecone
“Within the frosty night air your answer became quite clear. Yes.”
Closeness to others also helps to open you up and make you more receptive. Treat your ancestors like cherished friends, and share what you discover from them with those close to you. Their messages are to be shared and treasured, not hidden away to dry out into husks in a box somewhere.

Chapter 1 | Entry 21 – Self-Care and Personal Development
Affirmation : “I acknowledge what I am responsible for – and what I cannot control.”
Prompt : Healthy boundaries are an essential part of self-care . In what parts of your life and relationships is the card you draw telling you that you may need to strengthen your boundaries with others, situations, places, etc., in order to protect your well-being? Why are the current boundaries not enough?
What feelings came up when I pulled this card?
I had a moment of feeling “called out” when I first saw this card, before I then felt a combination of resignation and agreement.
What elements of the card’s meaning resonate with me and this prompt?
The Devil card is traditionally a representation of temptation, struggles with moderation, harmful excesses, addiction, and self-harm.
Although I have been keeping a tight leash in this area of late, I admit that I could go further yet with a bit of effort and consideration.
What in the artwork spoke to me?
The chains encircling the figure’s neck spoke most strongly in this card, speaking of the chokehold that my addictive tendencies can have on other parts of my life and how hard it is to contain them in healthy ways.
The red in the background also speaks of that burning need that addiction is often accompanied by.
My prompt response and reflections.
This activity encourages buckling down even harder on my spending and other addictions (sugar, languishing, etc). It is a reminder to not ignore the warning signs that these addictions are on the rise. The current situation I find myself in requires stricter control in this area for a time.

Prompts for November 1st through 3rd
What do I need to begin this month at my own pace?
King of Twigs (Wands) – The disinterest for everything and anything is starting to lift. It’s time to start adding long held passions and interests back into your life.
Don’t go overboard or you might burn yourself out, but it’s time to start sprinkling these passions and interests throughout your life again, and connecting with those things that make daily life interesting and fun.
Which emotion has grown and is demanding my attention right now?
Raven of Twigs (Page of Wands) – Pay attention to the rekindling of your passions and let them take the lead. Don’t resist as your attention and interests are tugged at, as they are helping pull you out of the pit of depression and promising you that better things are coming.
What is my gut feeling trying to tell me?
Ten of Feathers (Swords) – You’re not out of the woods yet, but rebirth is on the horizon. Take things slow. You need time to recover from this long depressive episode and to piece yourself back together. There’s no rush, just make sure you keep heading in the right direction.

I drove home after helping Ms B with her trick or treaters then assisting in taking down the outdoor decorations at the end of the night. It was late and I was tired, so spending the night was probably the safer option, but I really wanted to wake up in my own bed.
