Visitation
as water laps
against rock and sand
and fog drifts in
among the trees
the little ones come
skipping lightly
over fallen comrades
to greet the sea
leaving no claw marks
nor footprints
in their wake
as they meet
with brethren
so rarely seen
when the sun shines
