Today’s meditation was skipped.
Today’s draw is the Five of Swords, which is traditionally a representation of conflict, tests, trials, and struggles in the area of one’s thoughts, logic, education, intellect, ambition, and communications.
It’s been a very busy few days and my back is in need of a bit of a rest. With that need comes mental recriminations and the habitual inner dialogue that is usually used to drive me forward when I begin to falter.
This card is an encouragement to keep that negative inner narrative in check so that I can get the recovery I need and start fresh with a happier back tomorrow.

Questions for July 13th thru 15th
What in my life is ready to die away, making room for the new to grow?
Moderation and Butterfly – Now that you’ve gotten started on the project that you wanted to get done this summer, don’t let moderation or dragging your feet stand in your way. This is a time of transition, and you need to get it done. Don’t pause halfway through and lose your momentum.
Where am I currently rebirthing in my life?
Earth and Raccoon – You’re currently realigning back into the life path that you wanted to follow in the first place. After a time stuck in stagnation, you’re starting to have more clarity of mind and able to see more clearly how to strategize your path forward.
What wisdom can I gain from my shadow at this time?
Seven of Cups And Monkey – Don’t get distracted by focusing on too much at once. Instead pick one thing and stay on target. Yes, you want to do “all the things”, but sometimes you just have to take it one step at a time… one thing at a time. Too much at once will drag you down and exhaust you.

Have not, want not,
or so the saying goes.
And that is why
the young boy
never ever grows.

I made myself take it easy today so that my back could have a rest. I also broke down some of the “to do” tasks yet to do on the bookshelf project into smaller, bite sized pieces.
No roasting my bug dammit.
And I guess for this day you don’t need reminding to rest
Tomorrow tho…
