Worth Fighting For

Today’s meditation was just over eleven minutes long, and was another of the quiet meditations combined with my piriformis stretching. It was peaceful and quiet, and I again didn’t struggle at all to stay in the “zone” through the entire length.

Yin Yang Cat Tarot - Five of WandsToday’s draw is the Five of Wands, which is traditionally a representation of tests, trials, struggle, and conflict in the area of one’s drive, willpower, enthusiasm, principles, values, or inner spark.

Ever since I got my hands on the Stolen Child Tarot, I see this card differently, as I now see an element of empowerment in the card, instead of just a theme of chaos and conflict.

For that reason, what I see in today’s card is a message that tells us to stand up for what you believe in. If it’s important, it’s worth fighting for.

Mr Lionhart’s #TheJulyTarot Be Here Now Prompt
Questions for July 28th thru 31st

Victorian Meaning of Flowers Oracle and the Yin Yang Cat TarotWhat has my divination work taught me this month?

Bleeding Hearts and Page of Pentacles – Don’t force it. Take your time.

How can I use my July lessons for the journey ahead?

Gardenia, King of Cups atop Four of Swords – You need downtime with Gideon in order to make things feel balanced and right in the world. Avoiding this time is a form of self punishment for you that you need to work on letting go of.

What awareness can I further build on throughout August?

Abulition and Eight of Swords – Stop ignoring and denying yourself the benefits that meditation gives you in your life and your health. You need to work on developing a regular practice that you can depend on doing daily.

How am I guided to give closure to my July journey?

Feverfew and Ace of Swords – It’s time to start really focusing on your inner voice and what it has to say and how it says it. Turn over a new leaf towards a gentler and warmer tone in how you speak with yourself.

#DiscordTarotholicsJul2022 Challenge Prompt
Philosophical Question
: Can predestination and free will coexist?

Yin Yang Cat TarotReading Summary: You seek control and choose your passions (King of Wands). You choose your direction on life’s path (Two of Swords), and your interests along the way (Page of Pentacles). But Friday still comes regardless (Friday Cat).

Take Away: Just because there are things that are predestined to happen and places you are predestined to go doesn’t mean you don’t get to choose everything along that path. Just like Friday always arrives eventually, so too do these predestined things sit like landmarks on your path, but that doesn’t determine how you spend your week.

Daily Self Kindness

After I finished with packages today, I soaked in a nice cool bath before bed.

Tree Trimming Cartomancy Reading

River and Stone Playing CardsThe prompt for this reading came from one of my Discord servers and is as follows: “As I sit here listening to the trees around my apartment getting trimmed, it’s got me thinking, where could use some trimming in my life? So for this week’s prompt, let’s look at the things in our lives that could use some trimming, whether it’s what that should be, or if you already know, how you should go about doing so?”

What in my life could use a bit of trimming right now?

Two of Hearts – Social obligations. It’s too damn hard to be fucking around with all those social obligations. Beg off on the things you can so that you have more time to relax and catch what cool breezes you can.

How can I begin this trimming in my life?

Queen of Clubs – Let them know that you support their enthusiasm and that she would love to join in another time in the future. Assure them that your interest is there, but that is just not the right time. In this way you keep their enthusiasm alive, but can get the space you need for right now.

How will my life look after the trimming has taken place?

Six of Spades – Quiet, peaceful, and less chaotic. Like all things, it won’t last for long, so lean into the change for the time it’s here and enjoy it to the fullest.

What is the possible outcome if I avoid this task?

Go through a period of feeling as if you are not getting what you need (Five of Diamonds), followed by settling into a group dynamic (Three of Diamonds) that will orient you towards your goals in the future (Ten of Diamonds).

The question here remains, if you’re going to be heading towards these goals regardless, then why aren’t you taking the space you need when you need it. Don’t let this positive possible outcome keep you from self-care.

🌑 New Moon in Leo – July 2022

Today is the new moon, and like all new moons and full moons, I did a spread aligned to the moon’s current themes as a part of my recognition of the moon’s cycle and influences upon us. Today’s spread is about the medicine within, and brought to you by Ethony‘s Tarot by the Moon series.

New Moon in Leo Oracle Reading with the Normal Tarot (oracle deck)

What do I need to purge in my life?

The Summer Knight III – Righteousness. Keep in mind that warm and understanding connects you with others far better than righteousness and indignation.

What is draining my energy?

The Book of War – You are too focused on victory, when you need to be focused on the moment at hand. Spend more time doing, and less time planning.

Where do I need to spark play into my life?

The Autumn Queen – Into the every day. Fun and play doesn’t have to be something that’s a special occasion, but instead can be incorporated into your life and activities as part and parcel of the things you do each day.

What relationships need examining?

The Waning Crescent atop The Sorceress – This is not about one particular relationship but rather about making sure that you pay attention to what has happened in the past and remember that people often don’t change, they just appear too. Look to the past for the knowledge you need to know what’s going on in the present.

Where do I need to speak my truth?

The Book of Secrets – You have a clever mind, and it and it would benefit yourself and others to share this more with others rather than keeping these thoughts to yourself. Don’t worry if your ideas are good or not, because they are.

New Moon advice from the Minoan Goddess Amalthea.

The Summer Lady atop The Caretaker – You need to put more focus and passion into taking care of yourself. Self-care is a learning process for you. You can do it. You just have to pay attention to your needs and make sure they are being met instead of punishing yourself by denying yourself those things.
