Today’s meditation was skipped.
Today’s draw is the Page of Wands, which is traditionally a representation of a receptive omega energy, personality, or person in the area of one’s willpower, drive, passions, motivation, priorities, values, and principles. This often translates into those that are beginning on a passion project and learning what is needed to start such a journey.
One of the things I love most about the traditional imagery of the Page of Wands is the sprouting leaves on the wand, which is something that was carried over into this deck. I love the theme of newness and growth that these leaves represent.
With the theme of those leaves in mind, the message in today’s card is about focusing on your growth and not taking it for granted. Leaves sprout from healthy plants, so when you take care of yourself you sprout leaves… you grow… and you have the energy to explore.

Questions for August 16th thru 18th
What empowering knowledge can I find within my own shadows?
Ten of Swords atop Two of Pentacles – All things come back into balance eventually. It is the nature of the universe. Sometimes hardship is what is needed in order to make that happen.
In what way can embracing my shadows in order to let my darkness help me?
Knight of Cups – Stay focused on what you want and your darkness will lead you there. Sort of like when you’re driving, you steer where you are looking whether you mean to or not. Do you look at the tree or do you look at the road?
How can my shadows serve me as a catalyst of my strength(s)?
Two of Swords – Take the lessons learned as a way to make better decisions in the future. Otherwise the knowledge that your shadow has for you is useless.

The #ConnectWithYourDeckChallenge Prompt by E Roebuck-Jones
Questions for August 13th and 14th
Six of Swords – My ability to know what’s right for me, and what isn’t, and the independence that is needed to make decisions for myself to improve my situation instead of putting up with what isn’t working.
How can I be more kind to myself?
The Hierophant – Continue on a path of learning in this area and don’t let pressures in the background push you in directions that aren’t right for you. Seek out those traditional ways of self care that are tried and true and you know will work.

I am playing some serious catch up and I have no idea what the self-kindness for this day might have been.
I’m doing so bad at this catch up thing…and I dont’ even know which are going to work or if these are working now. But I love you, and I’m trying, baby
