/ Twist the Leaf

The Nurse Log

Deep shadow
in the damp woods
bark fallen and
crumbling wood
insect holes
and welcoming
grooves
seeds fall in
to nestle
sunlight dapples
as spores take hold
growth
encouraged
and new life shows
