/ Twist the Leaf

Battered and bruised
delicate bits show
wear and tear
wounds and scars
scattered over
soft surfaces
from weathering
life’s rough
treatment
and yet…
we still bloom
for there is
strength
in the scars

    I actually heard this song at a place I went to eat while I was in Florida and it reminded me SO much of you, that I needed to share it with you.
