Gideon’s Challenge

Wet Fall Leaves - Leaf VeinsBefore the Crumble

Tiny fissures
little cracks
the breakdown
comes in slow
and stealthy
with veins
once so flush
with life
drying up
in a starvation
of moisture
while lying prone
in a puddle
yet
unable to breathe.

  1. Starting to feel the drop closing in, my love? Remember that I am here for you. Ready and waiting to tug you into my lap and hold you tight until the aches ease and that need ebbs away again. I love you, precious angel. I’m here. Right here.
