These Saturday readings are (not usually) bearing in on any one thing or event in my life, as the question used is asking for a more general outlook. This is a self care exercise, and is not meant as a predictive reading… although that, too, happens on occasion.
The question is… What do I need to focus for self-care through the week ahead?
Earth – Eight of Wands and Viper Nest – Don’t get so comfortable and complacent that you forget there are risks and dangers out there. This is a warning about physical safety, and an encouragement to keep your eyes and ears open so that you aren’t taken by surprise with negative consequences.
Air – The Oak King and Swan – Composure will be important to getting things done this week. Make sure that you keep calm and collected. If you get your feathers in a ruff you may end up missing that needed new perspective that’s waiting for you.
Water – Knight of Pentacles, Wild Moon, Radiance – Make sure you’re meditating this week (no skipping sessions!) as it will help you in clearing away the fog of confusion and in getting back on track a far as being grounded and centered in your emotions and your experiences with them.
Fire – Ten of Pentacles and Boredom – The cards here are telling you to appreciate the stress. Without stress comes boredom and a feeling of apathy that is hard to climb out of once you’ve slid into that pit. Instead, remember that the stress of responsibility is there to keep you active and moving, and help you to both appreciate and value what you have and where you want to go from here.
Waning – A Blessing of Litha – A lessening of that ‘wallowing’ in what’s comfortable and good. As indicated in the positions of earth and fire, now is not the time to wallow or be complacent. Over the next week you will find energies growing towards forward movement rather than that feeling of “hibernation” that you have been in of late.
Waxing – A Blessing of Glamour – A time of transformation… as the cards above have already hinted at, the appearance of this card indicates that it’s time to break free of the fog and allow energies to stretch and breathe. Now is the time to focus on letting that fear and worry go, and seeking fresh energies that can wash away the remnants of what those emotions have wrought.
Take Away – More climbing, and more positive forward motion this week. I’m not out of the fog yet, but the air is becoming clearer and clearer with each day that passes. The cards indicate that this trend will continue, and that it’s time to actively work at taking a few longer strides forward out of the fog.
