The @GlitterbyInk #FebYOUary26 Moments & Memories Challenge
Prompt for February 9th : Faith
Daily Mental Health Prompt: Seek a positive message to carry with you throughout the day and offer perspective.
Today’s draw is the King of Pentacles, which is traditionally a representation of a projective alpha energy, personality, or person in the area of one’s financial security, resources, health, home, labors, manifestations, and other elements of the physical realm. This often translates into leadership that creates a grounded sense of stability for others.
We all find stability in our lives through different venues and different places. One of my greatest sources of stability is my faith. I don’t think that you often hear that from someone who’s a Pagan or a witch. Usually that’s something that you hear from a Christianity standpoint. And yet, it’s no less true.
My faith is not defined by books. I have no ancient texts to tell me what to do or feel, to say or be. I am not a good person because other people have told me to be (or -how- to be) or my faith tells me that’s what you’re supposed to do.
Instead, I am a good person because I choose to be so. I ground myself in my perception of what is right and wrong, what is magical and mundane, what is sacred and what isn’t. I follow the path that feels right for me through a connection I have made with myself, with my moral compass, and with my intuition, as well as an idea of the kind of person I want to become.
All of these are a part of my faith. All of these are a part of my spiritual practice. Just as respect for the self and respect for others, gratitude, and a deep connection and reverence for nature are a part of my spiritual practice.
The message in the King of Pentacles card combined with the “faith” prompt for today is a reminder that we all have things that ground us and create stability in our lives as well as within ourselves. Faith isn’t a bad word, and can ground more than just the Christian population. Today’s message calls upon us to delve into what we believe and where our stability comes from, and to acknowledge those sources of strength.

Prompt for February 9th : How can I cultivate more happiness in my relationships?
Reading Summary – You already know many of the things that make you happy, as well as how to achieve them (The Magician). You may want to consider, though, looking at a new path forward to get there (Page of Swords).
After all there’s more than one way to skin a cat. In the end, though, this is all about you doing what needs to be done, not just for yourself but for those around you as well (The Emperor).
Take Away – In other words… Get your ass in gear and do what needs done to cultivate more happiness in your life. If the path to get there that you’re used to feels uninspiring, then consider going at it from a different angle. Change things up and make it interesting.
As long as your happiness is the focus, it’s going to work out simply because you’ll be driven to find it for both yourself -and- those around you.

Prompt for February 9th
What closeness means to me now
Four of Swords, Octopus, Virgo – As long as things are going along in an orderly fashion and the closeness does not become cloying, you appreciate the closeness you have with others in your life for the rest that you are able to enjoy as a result. After all, things would be much harder without them.
That said, you tend to find closeness starts to feel like a burden if those involved are bordering on smothering you.
How I can foster within me a greater appreciation for closeness
Queen of Swords, Holly, Bat – Establishing good and healthy boundaries makes the world a better place, and protects you from the negative repercussions that often cause you to hold yourself back from more closeness with others. Learning to appreciate closeness more involves making sure that you are enforcing your boundaries so that things stay healthy and don’t turn toxic or ugly.
