Card of the Day Tarot Reading with the Ephemera Tarot and Sweet-Ass Affirmations 2 DeckToday’s draw is the Ace of Cups combined with the affirmation “Death is my homie. Death is divine.”

Grief is personal, and varies not just from person to person, but from experience to experience. Just because you have lost someone or something important to you in the past, does not mean that a new loss won’t feel brand new and completely different than the last one.

Because of this, we can’t expect ourselves to handle it any better the second time around, the third time around, or the 30th time around than we did the first.  Emotionally speaking, this is just not something that you get practiced at. When it comes to loss, it will be a new experience every single time.

Today’s cards are a reminder that when you are experiencing grief and loss, to cut yourself some slack and let yourself feel rather than trying to shove the feelings away or expecting yourself to already be practiced at this emotionally and be able to do it “well” or “better” then the last time.

I Tarocchi Dell'Alba DorataWhat is one of your most positive qualities?

Knight of Cups Rx – One of your most positive qualities is that it’s rare that you allow your emotions get the better of you, or allow yourself to dive head first into the fray spurred on by them.

How can you help this positive quality flourish in your life?

Eight of Pentacles – You are aware that you know yourself quite well, but that your emotions are not a part of that vast wealth of knowledge. You help this positive quality flourish in you life by actively working on how to better understand your emotions, and continue to develop skills concerning them. Keep up the good work.

What is one of your least positive qualities?

Ace of Pentacles Rx – One of your least positive qualities is that you are stubborn to a fault. When opportunities present themselves. Rather than diving into explore, your first tendency is often to balk and hold back. This trait causes you to hold things up instead of allowing them to progress as smoothly as they could.

How can you utilize this least positive quality to your benefit?

Eight of Cups – Remember that by holding back you are more able to step back and walk away from an opportunity when you realize that it’s not for you, rather than holding onto something that you need to let go of due to a false sense of commitment.

Other elements included in this reading:
Dried Rhododendron Leaf for Fostering Confidence
Conch Shell Knot for Concentration and Clarity
