The Morning Plow

Frosted bits
and frozen lips
as fingers
turn white then blue
even under
winter mittens
where warmth
they should imbue
as plow truck
rumbles
and feet are shoved
into the warmest
boots
to go make piles
of fluffy stuff
with shovel scrapes
and oomphs
