An Issue Resolved

Tangled knots
begin to unfurl
as relief slips in
a little at a time
and as much caution
is given in the moment
hope blooms hot
and bright
in the deep inhales
between breaths
Anger should linger
after mistreatment
and yet
I’m just so happy
it’s over
