Today’s meditation was ten minutes long, and was another quiet session of breathing exercises and piriformis / forearm stretching… this time in the dark, since it was pre-dawn. I’m thinking I need to get myself one of those sleep masks (or borrow L’s) for my meditation. I relax more when there’s no light, and since I usually meditate during daylight hours, I think it might help me sink into it a bit more.
Today’s draw is the Page of Swords, which is traditionally a representation of a receptive omega energy, personality, or person in the area of one’s thoughts, intellect, logic, ambitions, and communication. This often translates into themes that have to do with learning new ways to communicate with others, beginning new educational pursuits, exploring new ideas, and seeking to sate one’s curiosity.
As I find myself sitting here just admiring this guy’s clothes (although, not the hat). He cuts quite a dashing figure, yeah? Okay so… my questionable fashion sense aside…
The way that the figure in this card looks at the sword is not one of battle or determination. It’s a gaze filled with interest and curiosity. As if his gaze admires the curve of the blade, the shine of light upon it, and explores its weight and swing for the first time. As if he likes what he sees.
This card’s message for today is to find the beauty and grace in the things you enjoy. Explore them like the are new, and rediscover your enjoyment all over again.

Questions for February 7th
How or where has fear stopped me from living my best life?
Two of Swords atop Seven of Swords – There have been moments of indecision that have allowed others to take advantage of you. When you are unwilling or unable to make up your mind, your moments of indecisiveness allows for an opening for these experiences to happen.
What one step could I take today to begin to overcome this?
Knight of Cups and Ten of Cups Rx – Go after what you want in your heart instead of trying to force emotions out of the decision making process. It is when you try to ignore input from your emotions in the decision making process that you end up stalling out and struggling with indecisiveness.
Side Note: This is why you struggle with being decisive during the subdrop, because your emotions are running high and you’re trying to push their input out of the way and function on logic alone when making decisions. It is also one of the reasons you are especially vulnerable during this time and it’s important to lean on Gideon, as when your emotions are stirred up in this manner you are more vulnerable to manipulation from outside sources… something he is very good at protecting you from when you are unable to do so yourself.

I came home from the chiropractors and took a nap. It’s an orders day, and this means that I’m probably going to be up all night getting orders done, but I really needed the sleep.
