Today’s meditation was skipped.
Today’s draw is the Hanged Man, which is traditionally a representation of taking a pause, considering different viewpoints, the need for a change of perspective, and letting go of control to surrender to the moment.
Again… as was the Hanged Man drawn two days ago, this guy doesn’t look particularly unhappy with his lot in life at the moment. The major difference in these cards is that in this one, the figure is also gagged as well as bound.
This card clearly states to me “keep your mouth shut and listen”. Don’t speak. Listen. Don’t run off at the mouth. Listen. Today is not a day for expressing opinions, it’s a day for listening. Listen to what is being said around you. Listen to what is being said to you. Stay still, and let yourself be the stillness in the center of the cacophony’s storm.

Mr Lionharts’ #TheFebruaryTarot Kindred Spirits Challenge Prompt
Questions for February 4th
Describe in three cards the quality of life you want to experience.
Ten of Pentacles – Wealth and success that goes beyond money and is bountiful enough to allow me to share a sense of security and stability with those near and dear to me.
The Hanged Man – With a moment’s pause and a bit of reflection comes wisdom, patience, and depth of understanding for perspectives outside my own.
The Lovers – Having a moment of contentment is great, but a lifetime of emotional wealth and healthy decisions aligned with one’s values? That is even better. I don’t want to just feel content or like I’ve accomplished something, I want to be able to share my feelings with others, and them to share theirs with me.
For each card ask: How can I begin to embody this essence of life now?
Ten of Pentacles – Death – Stay aware of the changes that are coming so that you have time to prepare for them instead of allowing them to sneak up on you because you’re willfully turning a blind eye to their approach. You have a tendency to pretend transitions and changes aren’t coming until it’s too late to prepare for them, then “wing it” through the transition. You could accomplish so much more if you were willing to look at the changes coming long before they arrive and begin preparing accordingly.
The Hanged Man – The Devil – Your addictions (and addictive nature as a whole) further your ability to be able to see beyond your own perspective. This is especially true when it comes to your card reading (and that massive collection of decks). Recognize the value in this ability to see beyond your perspective… the ability to use the things you love and enjoy to do so… and the ability to understand others viewpoints in these moments. Remember that there is so much more to explore if you allow yourself to do so.
The Lovers – Justice – Remember that you get what you give. This is true whether it is between you and other people, or what you get out of life as a whole.
