Today’s meditation was ten minutes long, and was another of the guided #dailycalm meditations from the Calm app. It spoke of how sacred it is to give yourself time and space to just breathe. To take time to pay attention to where you are in the moment of your meditation.
How the air tastes and smells and feels on your skin, what sounds are present to touch upon the senses, etc. These are fleeting experiences that we are given the gift of a moment in time to notice, cherish, and enjoy while realizing that they are temporary and should be treasured.
Today’s draw is the Ace of Swords, which is traditionally a representation of the seed of beginnings in the area of one’s intellect, education, ambitions, communication, and education.
There’s a need for new ideas today, and that has definitely panned out as the truth. People often associate the Ace of Spades with death, and that -also- is fitting for today.
There were a number of differences in the paperwork that I had to fill out today. The system is getting an overhaul this year, and every time I log on it seems that things have changed and a learning of something new needs done in order to get my paperwork done to go up north. Today is no different, and today’s card is a reminder that all of these new experiences and learning of new methods is helping me in adapting to the new system that they plan to have up and functional by sometime in November.

Philosophical Question for March 16th: Is patience an inherent virtue, or is it learned behavior?
Reading Summary: In life, we learn and adapt out behaviors in order to get what we want (Fluidity). Patience is most often learned through others either through experiences (Partnership), or through learning from others mistakes and experiences (Gossip).
Take Away: These cards indicate that patience is a goal oriented endeavor that one learns through others, or through our own experiences that teach us that if we are patient we will reap the rewards that we seek.
On a side note, although I agree with this, I would say that some are more inclined to patience than others. This is where one’s nature comes in to the equation.

Questions for March 16th and 17th
Ask the high priestess card “How can I better listen to my intuition?”
Strength and Justice – The more you tap in to what lies within you, the more you’ll get out of it. Alternately, should you neglect this part of yourself, it will wither. So in order to better listen to your intuition, you need to work with it more. For the more that you work with it, the louder its voice will become.
If I listen to my intuition more, what could I change?
The Devil and Three of Pentacles – You would be able to be more open to others that are willing to help you with your struggles with your addictive personality, instead of feeling like you have to do it all on your own.

I had a chocolate muffin today as a reward after I got done all my packaging. I think that counts.
