Rainy Work Days
Rainy days
bring muddy fields
and wet grasses
to soak through
denim hems
and chill the skin
beneath
and yet
hair dripping
and water trailing
down nape’s flesh
I look up
and smile
as the world is
washed clean

It’s going to rain here today…again. it seems like it rains here almost every day in the springtime.
And the summer…and fall….and most of the winter too, though that often turns to snow and ice. *Chuckles*
I’m not sure when it happened but Ohio got really wet somewhere along the way
