These Saturday readings are (not usually) bearing in on any one thing or event in my life, as the question used is asking for a more general outlook. This is a self care exercise, and is not meant as a predictive reading… although that, too, happens on occasion.
The question is… What do I need to focus for self-care through the week ahead?
Earth – Ten of Mushrooms (Cups) – Wallow a bit in the good stuff this week, including your time with others. Happiness is better when it’s shared, and your loved ones often have a tendency to help lift you up… so make sure to spend time with them as you can this week to benefit from this influence.
Air – Ten of Feathers (Swords) – By taking the advice offered above, you can help keep the negative inner narratives in your head from eating you alive this week, which they are going to try very hard to do. What-if thinking and overreaction to negative news will be easy to fall into this week. You might want to consider avoiding doom scrolling and the news for the week ahead.
Water – Nine of Acorns (Pentacles) – Remember to seek out stability inducing activities and connections this week in order to keep your emotions from following your brain down the “doom scroll” rabbit hole it’s trying to dive into. Use the bounty of what you have and have accomplished to reassure yourself and keep your emotions anchored.
Fire – The Devil – Giving into temptations that can easily turn destructive are only going to become blocks and barricades for you this week. Avoid these potential obstacles by stepping back from indulging in risk-taking behavior, including behavior that indulges in your addictive tendencies.
Waning – Jack of Spades and Two of Diamonds (Chocolate Lily) – You can’t both dive forward in reckless abandon toward what you want -and- be reserved enough to keep things in balance. All those dishes you seek to balance are going to go crashing to the ground to shatter if you try.
Waxing – Eight of Clubs (Red Tailed Bumblebee) and Seven of Spades (Nuthatch) – Instead, look at the week ahead with a strategic mind and an eye towards what you can do to keep things on track not just for you, but for all involved. There’s more to consider than just your own well-being this week. Be a community player.
Take Away – This week you will keenly feel the battle between healthy options and self destructive ones. Make sure you lean into the healthy options, and allow others to step in and help you in making those choices. Seek stability and the kind of light, happy energy that comes from spending time with others rather than choosing to spend too much time on your own.
