Gideon’s Challenge

/ Twist the Leaf

I want to tromp
barefoot
through grass
and muddy water
and feel the squish
of wet soil
between my toes
as the icy water
makes toe tips
tingle
in the cold bite
of snow melt
from
mountain tops
far away
