Intimacy

Eagerness reigns
as I feel the urge
to shed my skin
and bare my soul
to your touch
and the rough graze
of whiskers
against places
that go far deeper
than the flesh
as inhibitions
fall away
so that all that’s left
is eager hands
and the bite of need
