Longest Night Cartomancy Reading

Longest Night Cartomancy Reading with the Frosty the Snowman Playing CardsThe prompt for this reading came from one of my Discord servers and is as follows: “As today is the Winter Solstice/Yule, let’s talk to our divination tool of choice about how we should spend this longest night, or what we can best do to get the rest as if every night was the longest night of the year.

What is preventing me from getting the best rest that I could during the longest nights of the year?

Three of Diamonds and Nine of Diamonds – You’re driving motivation to finish the project that you have started, and do the best that you can with them to make them a success right up to the end. This motivation is currently in overdrive and is preventing you from getting the best rest possible at this time.

What can I do to resolve those issues and rest better as a result?

Three of Clubs atop Two of Hearts – There is only a few days left in the holiday rush (cards were pulled on December 22nd). Look forward to when you can spend your time with others instead of worrying about what’s left to do in the next couple of days. Focus on further plans beyond the holiday rush instead of allowing your focus to linger on what is coming to an end.

How can I best carry this solution forward with me into the future?

Two of Diamonds and Five of Diamonds – Make sure whenever there is a choice to be made on your path forward that you always choose to look beyond your scarcity issues, instead of sinking into them.

A New Day Approaches

Today’s meditation was skipped.

Gnome TarotToday’s draw is the World card, which is traditionally a representation of a long journey coming to its end, accomplishment, and completion.

Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life.  Yeah, it’s sort of cliche, and yet with this specific card landing on the last day of my holiday rush responsibilities? That is exactly what this card is saying.

Tomorrow is a new adventure. A new day.  A new journey.  The holiday rush was long and exhausting and tough as hell… but it’s done.  You survived and succeeded yet again!  And tomorrow you will wake up to a day with NO business responsibilities other than correspondence, and be able to think about other things beside filling orders.

I wrapped up the last of the holiday orders a bit early so I could just relax a bit before bed.

Touching Base… Even When We Don’t Want To

Today’s meditation was skipped.

The Madame Lenormand Christmas Oracle DeckToday’s draw is the Lady and Cross cards from The Marie Lenormand Christmas Oracle. This often indicates a woman in our lives of which we feel is a burden, or burdensome “woman’s duties” that we find ourselves reluctant to complete.

Today, these cards are a reminder to call your mother.

Yes…. you.  Call your mother.

Don’t forget that those we love need us during the holidays, even those we don’t like or agree with, or those that we’ve had disagreements or a falling out with.

Don’t let these harsh feelings stand in the way of connecting with these people over the holidays. Seek forgiveness within yourself… or if you can’t do that? Just check in to make sure they’re okay.

Winter Waite Tarot 2018 Edition

Card that best represents me at this time.

Page of Pentacles – Slowing down, but still moving forward.  The holiday rush is easing up and the pace is slowing down, but you’re still on task and moving forward with your eye on the prize.

Why the card best represents me.

Queen of Pentacles – You want to continue to keep things flourishing where your financial security and stability in life are concerned.  You foster these goals through your work, and through staying invested, no matter the pace.

What I’m avoiding acknowledging right now.

Three of Swords – Although the holiday rush was busy, it wasn’t as big of a success as you were hoping it would be.  This is a disappointment, and instead of dealing with that disappointment, you’re pushing it off to the side and hoping it’ll disappear on its own.

What can I do to embrace who I am in this moment?

Judgement – Ease up on yourself and look at the long term goals instead of focusing on small disappointments that are inconsequential to the larger picture.  Stop nitpicking yourself and blaming the smaller return this year on your performance instead of on the fact that money is extremely tight right now for everyone.

Where life is leading me right now.

Temperance – Continue to slow down from the rush and work at making the transition to a more moderate pace a smooth one.

Wait For Me

Today’s meditation was skipped.

Christmas Spirit Tarot - The StarToday’s draw is the Star card, which is traditionally a representation of hope, faith, and the connecting of spirituality to the various aspects of our lives.

Poor little cherub almost got left behind by Santa.  And yet look there… he’s turned and seen the little angel and paused on his way to the sleigh to let the cherub catch up.

Sometimes in life we can feel like we’re being left behind or left out, especially if we’re struggling to keep up with others that are able to move (or learn) at a much faster pace.

This card reminds us that it’s okay to speak up and call out… say “hey!  wait for me!”.  Don’t stay silent out of fear or embarrassment. Have faith in others to care enough to hear you, truly care, and want you there at their side.

Careful What You Wish For

Yule OracleToday’s draw is the Snow card from the Yule Oracle, which speaks of themes to do with birth, emotion, and purity.

And… this card is a little too on the nose for today, and is a warning on what to expect and to be careful on my trip north.

It’s well below freezing (10 degF), the winds are wild and biting, and there’s two feet of snow in the places where the wind hasn’t created drifts as high as my waist.

A four hour drive took nearly six, and is most assuredly going to take just as long if not longer to make it back home again later today.

And when I look at this card?  All I can think is… no shit.

I changed my shipping dates back to shipping out Tuesday and Friday instead of every day this week.  There’s no way in hell I’m shipping out daily with the weather like this.
