📆 Transitioning from June to July

Month End Check-Up Tarot Reading with The Pacific Northwest Tarot and The Crystal Forests Oracle

Here and Now I Exist – Who you are now, in your entirety.

The Sun and Amethyst – You have been reminded again and again to lean into positivity and optimism. It’s been a tough road, but you are in a place right now to facilitate those efforts.

The Slough – What is to be left in the past as you move forward.

Four of Cups and Golden Healer – Sensitivity and sloth. It’s time to act. Leave behind the dragging feet, stagnation, and stubbornly cloying complacency. Lift your feet from the muck and start moving, and in doing so you will feel your energies begin to lighten and become more active as well.

What Lies Ahead – An ideal state or ideal self you are seeking at this time.

The Hanged One and Lapis Lazuli – Clarity. You seek a mind unfiltered by bias or clouded by the fuzz of uncertainty or depression.

Limitations – Negative influences, opposition, or ill will.

Wheel of Fortune atop Six of Wands Rx, Fire Opal – Public opinion is fickle as hell. Don’t depend on others for the clarity you seek. Their perspectives are only a piece of the puzzle, and far from the full picture or absolute truth.

The Boon – Positive influences, higher guidance, or divine intervention.

Temperance and Copper – Set your own pace that allows you to look around with gratitude and treat yourself with kindness. When you do this, it will still get you where you want to go, but at a far more enjoyable (and sustainable) pace.

The Wound – An unpleasant past experience or event that is ripe for some support and healing.

Eight of Swords and Blue Kyanite – Forgive yourself for not seeing all of the bad stuff coming before it hits. No one ever sees everything or picks up on all the warning signs. In retrospect we see so much more that we couldn’t have known was important in the moment.

Nostalgia – A positive past experience or event to acknowledge, reflect upon, and enjoy.

Page of Pentacles and Rainbow Moonstone – You need to reflect on all the good that meditation has done for you in the past and allow this awareness of its positive influences it to inspire you to begin again.

A Warning – Something coming that can be prevented or overcome.

Nine of Cups atop Two of Cups Rx, Tanzanite – Sometimes social discord can lead to a better place overall. There is a clash of minds is on the horizon, and you may want to let it happen instead of trying to divert, as it will lead to a far better place if you ride it out.

Empowerment – A future opportunity to work toward.

The High Priestess and Labradorite – You have the opportunity coming your way to expand into your intuition and stretch it into a more comfortable fit.

Message from the Spirit World – It is through your intuition that you will be able to set a pace for yourself that allows for both healthy rest and recuperation, as well as energetic movement toward your goals.  There has to be balance between the two in order to find true happiness.

Message from the Mind’s World – The mental health healing that you need can be found through instilling more positivity and optimism into your day to day life.  Through this new perspective you can find a more crisp and clear mental state.

Message from the Physical World – It is time to step away from self abuse and self neglect. No one can do this for you. You have to make the decision to do it for yourself. You know the things that can help you find a greater sense of physical stability.  Meditation is at the top of the list, and where you need to start.

Take Away –  This reading is primarily about movement and stagnancy, it’s about making sure I’m not lingering any longer in the stagnant energies that have held me back this spring and summer, and instead pushing myself forward into action and movement so that I can begin stirring up energies that need a breath of fresh air.

That Too-Tight Grip

Today’s meditation was skipped.

Little Prince Tarot - Four of PentaclesToday’s draw is the Four of Pentacles, which is traditionally a representation of stability, control, conservation and conservatism, security, saving money or conserving resources, and at times miserly behavior and greed.

In the imagery of today’s card I see greed and control.  It is in the set of the character’s features, his balance with the coils below and above him, the raised brow, and the hug of the coin to his red clad chest. This man knows exactly where his priorities lie and woe to any that try to distract or dissuade him.

The card pulled today questions where we are too rigid, too unmoving, or too controlling in life? Where could we benefit from loosening up a bit and going with the flow?  It is a reminder that happiness does not reside solely in rigidity and too much of these things can lead to stagnancy and suffocation.  That makes this card today an encouragement to ease up and relax our grip on those things we are holding on to too tight.

Philosophical Questions for June 29th

Ganeshian Village TarotAre we ever morally obliged to take action?

The Moon – Yes, although it can often be uncertain in the moment as to when, as well as what, should be done.  Sometimes that uncertainty can cause us to be a bit too cautious.

If so, under what circumstances?

Four of Pentacles – In many situations, it is instilling stability that allows situations to deescalate or be diffused. To create stability for yourself and others, it is often necessary to step in and take action.

Seven of Wands – To stand up for your principles and what you believe in. This is one of the ways that we can provide stability for others, as well as for ourselves.

Six of Wands – But, not to just earn accolades. Some people step in and take action only when they can receive accolades for their actions. Although stepping up and stepping in when help is needed is always a good thing, this particular motivation can be problematic.

Questions for June 28th thru 30thDt

Little Prince TarotWhat can the New Moon in Cancer kick-start for me within my magical practice?

Eight of Wands – Motivation that will allow you to lean into your passion projects and work towards getting them done.

What higher truth is Neptune Rx trying to bring to light for me?

Seven of Swords atop Eight of Sword – The things you try to turn a blind eye to and ignore are the things that turn into a problem over time. When these issues are put in the dark and not tended to, they have the ability to grow out of proportion in the shadows, and end up causing troubles and anxiety later on.

What have I learned about my magic, or myself, this month?

The Lovers Rx – You have a weakness for ignoring your own needs and pretending they don’t exist, often blocking yourself from the self care you need most.

How have I grown within my magic throughout June?

Four of Wands – You are re-rooting, and thus becoming more appreciative of what is needed for your grounding and comfort. The importance of having that stability of being well grounded has been something you’ve been reminded of throughout the month of June, giving you a greater appreciation for the value of grounding exercises as a regular practice.

What am I asked to take to heart or embrace as I move on past June, through July and August?

Five of Cups atop Four of Cups Rx – Make sure that you are paying attention to the times your pessimism rears up, and being active in combating it so that it doesn’t get the upper hand in your life.

I had my yogurt and took my vitamins.  I also had a bit of a nap and had Jer with me when I went out to get a few things done.

Take a Breath

Today’s meditation was skipped.

Reverie Tarot - Two of PentaclesToday’s draw is the Two of Pentacles, which is traditionally a representation of juggling responsibilities, work/life balance, and prioritization.

The theme in the imagery in this card is very classic RWS in it s execution, and what I see as the message in this card is a reminder that there is a need to balance home with work. Balance accomplishments with guilt concerning how much you haven’t gotten done. Balance motivation with the need for rest.

Don’t push today.  You’ve had a rough week and it’s only Tuesday.  Three flat tires and a busted car window… four separate incidents in three days.  You deserve some time to take a breath.

Questions for June 28th and 29th

Legendary Ladies OracleI have accomplished this.

Lakshmi (Hindu) atop Demeter (Greek) – I am reaping in the rewards from my labors, and working to better appreciate my accomplishments.

So I can…

Liễu Hạnh (Vietnamese) atop Hel (Norse) – …begin to see myself in a more positive light and with greater acceptance.

I am confident to…

Benten (Japanese) – …explore and create in whatever ways I am drawn, and to succeed in these endeavors without fear of failure.

Because I have…

Tyche (Greek) – …lady luck on my side. Yes, some of it is skill and effective use of my brain, but some of it is just pure luck and the openness to not accept failure as the end of the journey.

: Self-Care for the New Moon…

Reverie TarotReading Summary: Although you’re really in need of some alone time in nature (Seven of Cups atop The Hermit), resist the urge to go it alone (Five of Swords) and take time for rest and recuperation instead (Four of Swords).

Take Away: Considering the events of the last three days where my car is concerned, now is not the time to go wandering off into the woods alone.

Better to do other restorative things and leave the alone time for when things aren’t so wrought with chaos, vandalism, and destruction.

DECK USED: REVERIE TAROT

Daily Self Kindness

I tried to get some rest today, and to spend some time with Gideon. I’m feeling a little numb but I tried to let Gid help me reconnect with my emotions a bit.

Dream Actualization

Today’s meditation was a nap. I laid down to do it and promptly fell asleep. I think it’s the heat. It makes me sluggish and tired.

The Pacific Northwest Tarot - King of WandsToday’s draw is the King of Wands, which is traditionally a representation of a projective alpha energy, personality, or person in the area of one’s passions, enthusiasm, inspiration, motivations, and principles.

An alpha stands strong at the top of a large rock, surrounded by California Poppies (Eschscholzia californica). Here we see a symbolism of strength, power, calm objectivity, and regeneration.

The message in today’s card is an encouragement to seize control, and direct your dreams and goals forward where you want them to go. Doing nothing accomplishes nothing. Drawing others into your vision though, can help ensure success.

: About peace…

Divination with the Dreampunk Game CardsReading Summary: The sock puppet on the thumbs up in the center card reflects the colors in the “welcome aboard” card on the left. This speaks of a warm, fuzzy, comfortable feeling that comes with being welcomed, accepted, and embraced by others.

The cloud that the thumbs up comes out of in the center card then reflects into the coloring in the background of the card on the right, as does the earthen tones of the ground and volcano beneath that cloud with the earthy nature of the card on the right. This connection speaks of the things that bring us joy and stability in life, and how we can nurture them to help them grow and become strong.

Take Away: These cards indicate that peace is about acceptance, and finding those things that make you feel grounded and happy.

Questions for June 27th

The Pacific Northwest Tarot and The Crystal Forests OracleI will actualize my dream to…

… see change as an adventure (The Fool), feel more safe and comfortable breaking out of my shell (Six of Swords), and allow change to happen without a reactive inner cacophony of negativity (Black Tourmaline).

By…

…seeing changes in life as an opportunity to celebrate and have some fun (Three of Cups) while clearing out the old that isn’t working in my life (Selenite), instead of falling back on old harmful habits (The Devil) that are familiar and feel so easy (Blue Goldstone).

Patience and Persistence

Today’s meditation was skipped.

Cat Tarot - Page of PentaclesToday’s draw is the Page of Pentacles, which is traditionally a representation of a receptive omega energy, personality, or person in the area of one’s health, finances, resources, labors, manifestations, and the physical world.

Here we see a cat that does not seem particularly thrilled with the offering in the owners hand, but does not seem to be as resistant to the idea as a similar theme that is shown in the Ace of this suit, indicating that the cat has learned to accept these pills, but that there’s still a ways to go in getting to the “learning to like it” stage. It also shows progress on the owners part as instead of offering the pills in their palm, they are seeking to make them more palatable and easy to accept.

The message in today’s cards is that not all progress can be fast, even when you want it to be.  But, persistence can pay off in the end when combined with a bit of patience.

Questions for June 26th

Herbal Cats OracleI will stop negativity here.

Coltsfoot, Hyssop atop Vervain – Each of these herbs has to do with the healing of the lungs, and peaceful rest. They speak of a need to be less negative surrounding your meditative practice. Stop discounting the benefits that meditating each day can provide for you, and start doing them instead of skipping.

By…

Bee Balm atop Cowslip – …focusing on being kinder and more accepting of yourself. The reason you skip the things that lift you up and make you healthy is because it is a type of self-punishment you can passively wallow in. By accepting yourself more and being kinder to yourself, you can fight back against this self-destructive urge.

Question: What do I need in order to get the deck shelves done in the next two months?

The Art of Pixlar Postcard Set and Cat TarotReading Summary: The cats in all three of these cards faced towards the past, and yet the bee in the anchor card above charges towards the future. The sentiment of each card’s image below the anchor speaks of things in the past that are holding you back. Reluctance (imagery in the Ace of Pentacles), gluttony/sloth (imagery in the Knight of Cups), and distraction (imagery in the Page of Swords) have all played apart in this struggle.

In contrast, the traditional meaning of each card aligns with the theme of the anchor card above. They speak of turning over a new leaf (Ace of Pentacles), charging forward towards what you want (Knight of Cups), and accepting that it’s going to be a learning process (Page of Swords).

Take Away: These cards indicate that what I need in order to get the job done is to set aside the unhealthy attitudes and practices that I’ve been indulging in recently. Turn around and charge forward towards what I want, instead of lingering in dalliances that are getting nothing done.

❤️ Self Care Saturday (On a Sunday)

These Saturday readings are (not usually) bearing in on any one thing or event in my life, as the question used is asking for a more general outlook. This is a self care exercise, and is not meant as a predictive reading… although that, too, happens on occasion.

The question is… What do I need to focus for self-care through the week ahead?

Little Odd Tarot and The Crystal Forests Oracle

Earth – The Magician Rx atop Page of Cups – Don’t worry so much this week about what you can do, but focus instead on what you want to explore. Success and goal achievement are not everything.

Air – The Emperor – Seize control of your inner narratives and keep them in line like minions under your leadership. You do not have to be a victim to their influence.

Water – Page of Pentacles – It’s okay for things to feel new and different. It’s okay to have to relearn old lessons. Take your time to really explore those lessons you’ve needed to return to.

Fire – The Moon – Don’t let uncertainties and shifting shadows trip you up, or cause you to freeze and stagnate this week.

Waning – Chrysocolla (Diplomacy) – It’s okay sometimes to say that it’s “my way or the highway”. Just make sure (as was pointed out to you in a reading yesterday) that you allow people to see your perspective and your reasoning behind this when you take a hard line on something.

Waxing – Amethyst (Wisdom) – By the same turn, make sure you are listening to others before drawing that line in the sand. When you take in others opinions and perspectives, it helps you make better choices.

Take Away – Spend less time focusing on the finish line, and more time paying attention to the little fun things you can dive into along the way. Have fun, repeat lessons, and stay strong in the face of that negative inner narrative.  Make sure when interacting with others that you’re communicating clearly and listening closely.
