Greater Secrets Tarot and Visions From the Liminal Oracle

Here and Now I Exist – Who you are now, in your entirety.

Ten of Pentacles atop Queen of Swords, Strangely Perfect Timing – As your negative inner narrative begins to let up, you are beginning to see that you are far better off than you thought you were previously. The light of spring is helping you find your way out of the darkness even though your depression is not of the seasonal variety. Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.

The Slough – What is to be left in the past as you move forward.

Temperance and Quiet Desperation – Let go of stagnancy and holding yourself back. Get moving! Be proactive. When you hold yourself back and allow stagnancy to creep in, the discomfort of it all drags you down. Better to keep moving.

What Lies Ahead – An ideal state or ideal self you are seeking at this time.

Seven of Wands and Storm + Fury – You will continue to be unwilling to compromise on your moral compass and principles regardless of the forces against you. You are strong, brave, and fighting the good fight.

Limitations – Negative influences, opposition, or ill will.

The Hermit Rx, An Answer But Not The Solution, Believe Nothing That You Hear And Only Half Of What You See – Stop lingering after yoga and/or meditation time. This unhealthy alone time feels nice at the time in the moment, but it’s not healthy and is holding you back.  It’s time being wasted instead of used productively to further your self care or well-being in any way.

The Boon – Positive influences, higher guidance, or divine intervention.

King of Wands and Hell Train – Get in touch with the enthusiastic tyrant that is your creative spark, and let the motivation flow from this place within you.  When you get things done, it feels good and you like that sensation of accomplishment you earn from it.  Seek out that positive sensation and let it help motivate you.

The Wound – An unpleasant past experience or event that is ripe for some support and healing.

The Star Rx and Parasitism – Your depression eats away at your hope and spiritual connection to the world around you as well as your connection to what lies unseen beyond the physical world. It’s time to work at climbing free of that pervasive darkness.

Nostalgia – A positive past experience or event to acknowledge, reflect upon, and enjoy.

The Magician and Until The Day Breaks And The Shadows Flee Away – You have defeated the depression again and again, you have everything you need to do it this time as well. Do not doubt your ability to weather the darkness when you know that the light is so near.

A Warning – Something coming that can be prevented or overcome.

Seven of Cups and The Passing Of Time – Stop dithering while time passes you by. Make lists, do small tasks. Just sitting there spinning your wheels resolves nothing and makes you feel like shit.

Empowerment – A future opportunity to work toward.

The Devil and Season Of The Witch – This spring and summer will allow you the time to get your decks in order, and to create better energy flow within your space as a result. Don’t waste this time but leap into it.

Message from the Spirit World – Apply your time, passion, and motivation towards getting your decks in order. You will feel better and your home will feel far more energized once this is done.

Message from the Mind’s World – Let go of the need to sink into stillness and use the energies of the spring season to push you forward into energized activity.

Message from the Physical World – The time of sickness and disconnection has come to an end. Don’t ignore your body, but instead focus on helping it to thrive once more.

Take Away – The majority of this reading is focused on my recent MDE and climbing out of depressions pit. It speaks about motivation and how to stir up the energy you need to keep fighting and keep climbing. It also is calling you out on these activities you do that are not helping.

🌑 New Moon in Aries – March 2022

On Monday is the new moon, and like all new moons and full moons, I did a spread aligned to the moon’s current themes as a part of my recognition of the moon’s cycle and influences upon us. Today’s spread is about the medicine within, and brought to you by Ethony‘s Tarot by the Moon series.

Faery Temple Oracle

The card you’ve chosen to represent the change you want to bring about.

Rebirth – I want to rise out of the darkness of depression’s pit into the light and feel renewed again. It’s time to make the climb, and I’m trying, but it feels like it’s taking forever and that I’m not getting anywhere. I know that I am, in fact, getting there… I just long to feel that renewal of perspective, awareness, and joyous enjoyment that I know is coming. I wish I could just do it… experience it through will alone, but it is something that must unfurl at its own pace.

The most likely outcome if you make this change.

Shine – A return to self and boost of energy that will allow you to shine brightly for a time. Light and energy in free flow allowing your creative self to spark to shimmer and shine brightly.

What boundaries do I need to set during this change?

Revel – Make sure you are enjoying it, and not bogging yourself down or taking it for granted.

Just as you see the minute details of the forest and take pictures of them to share with the world while others tread the path and see nothing but “trees”, so too do you need to look at life and not allow negativity to influence you from missing out on the small treasures and other good stuff.

What do I need to let go of to move forward?

Flight – Fear. Don’t curl up and hide away, protecting yourself from those things that you fear. Instead, let go of your fear so that you can move forward beyond it and discover, in having done so, that what you feared was not that big of a deal after all.

What do I need to remember during this change?

Consequence – What you focus on is what manifests into reality. If you focus on the bad stuff, it’s the bad stuff that comes true. So make sure that you’re focusing on the good stuff. This way you are getting what you want out of the experience, instead of what you don’t want to come to pass manifesting as a consequence of where your focus lies.

Where do I need to be careful? Continue with caution around this.

Resilience – Don’t forget that at the moment you are the one that needs support. You are so open and willing to support others in so many different ways, but your energy is not boundless. Make sure you are saving some of that energy for yourself right now. You’ll survive the transition either way, but it’ll be a far more pleasant experience if you have more a bit more energy and give yourself a bit more slack for the time being.

What/who is my ally?

Pleasure atop Authenticity – Your allies at this time (and always, for that matter) are those that enjoy spending time with you and accept you exactly for who you are, quirks and flaws included. You may have a hard time believing this is true, but they are out there and they love you… just as you are.

New Moon advice from the Minoan Goddess Amalthea.

Make a Wish – It’s time to get back into doing your daily devotional to connect with the energies and elements that you want to keep as a part of your practice. This has been neglected for too long. And, you should begin including Amalthea in this daily ritual.

Spring Equinox Oracle Reading

Exquisite Familiars Oracle

What is my current situation?

Lacrimosus tralucidus – Open and vulnerable, your inner wounds are on display.

What do I need to lay to rest with the winter?

Pisces vitta – The fear of being seen and worrying that in being seen, you are showing your weaknesses and vulnerabilities that others will want to take advantage of. You do not need to conceal what’s going on, nor use distraction and misdirection to keep people’s focus directed elsewhere.

Where in my life can I stand I have more balance?

Magma lolligo – There is a time and place for the force and rigidity of anger that can help you confront conflict and overcome challenges, but there is equally a time for adaptability and flexibility.  It’s important to be able to choose which is better for the situation… instead of just allowing yourself to go with whichever one rises up at the time.

What do I need to embrace with the coming light?

Electrophorus medusozoas – Feel that growing light and reflect it back out into the world as it helps you to reconnect with your purpose. Show others how to stretch into the recovery from your depression. Allow them to see it’s okay and can even be safe to share what they’re going through, and that there are others that are experiencing similar. They are not alone.

How can I best nurture the seedlings that are emerging?

Oceanum equus – Be careful that your well used defenses are not holding others at arms length or pushing them away entirely. Sometimes you don’t have to push to protect yourself from harm.  Passive caution is just as effective as aggressive action under the right circumstances.  Find the balance in this area.

What will be my source of joy, the bright spot in my life this spring?

Vulpes caudanovem – Your moral compass will not cause you to have to forsake moments of joy and the small pleasures that life has to offer. Look to home and hearth for comfort, and seek out the little things in life that you enjoy as often as you can.

Weekly Creativity Prompt – The First Flower

Prompt: “Draw (at least) three random cards. Use these cards to tell the story (real or fictional) of one of spring’s first flowers and its experiences.”

愛されガールの かいこつ タロットBuried deep within frozen soil
darkness pressing in
on all sides
I wait
until the thaw begins
to relax the earth
and my cage becomes a womb
and as I am nurtured
in that mothering embrace
I break free of my shell
and begin to stretch
and stretch
a calling from within pulling me
from furled tender stem
to towering stem
where the sun bathes my petals
and I watch over those below
still waiting
to grow

Wild and Free Lenormand Reading

Wild and Free Lenormand Reading with the Steampunk Lenormand

In what way am I feeling confined?

Cross and House – Too much time indoors will make you feel stagnant and stymied. So much of your spiritual path can be taken outside, so stop trying to do it all indoors. With spring arriving, the weather is turning and you have plenty of opportunity to step out into the fresh air now.

What part of me wants to grow more wild and free?

Snake and Tree – There is a warning here that you need to get to a doctor and get checked out.  Something is wrong physically, and it’s time to deal with it so that it is not given the opportunity to “grow more wild and free” in your body or your life.  Call the doc.

What will I attract if I open up and allow my true colors to shine?

Coffin and Bear – A shift in abundance of resources for the better.  This will allow for a greater amount of security through the boon that these changes can offer.

Ostara 2022 – Spring Equinox

Tomorrow is the Spring Equinox, which is considered by many to be the first day of Spring, and is one of only two moments in the year when the sun is exactly above the Equator and day and night are of equal length. After this day, the brightness of daylight begins to overtake the dark hours in the sky as the days continue to longer and longer, and the nights shorter and shorter.  This transition is the basis within the celebration of the holiday itself, as we celebrate the warming and awakening of the earth as she prepares to share her abundance and generosity with us all.

In my path, the Spring Equinox is also known as Ostara.  Although this holiday is celebrated (as Easter around) the world by those that embrace many traditions that originated in Paganism, most don’t realize the full and rich history that this holiday holds.

Like with new moons and full moons, I usually do a spread to check in with myself and give myself some direction for the next couple of months for each solstice, equinox, and other Sabbats. This spread is an adaptation of my Self Care Saturday spread, so there are sure to be  some similarities in how it is read. The focus of this spread, though, is not about Self Care, but rather about progress and my path. The time period is also longer, reaching through the next handful of weeks until the celebration of the upcoming Beltane at the beginning of May.

Theme of the SeasonOstara, Waning Gibbous Moon, Betula alba (Silver Birch)

Ostara, as mentioned above, is a celebration of nature’s awakening after the long winter’s sleep.  It’s about the eager energy of spring finally beginning to show itself to us in visible ways, and the uplifting hope that comes with this renewal of energies in the world around us.

In farming, the Waning Gibbous Moon is a time of planting (with the exception of annuals) and transplanting, as it’s believed that absorption of nutrients from the soil occurs the most during the waning phase of the moon, and this sets up bulbs, tubers, and young plants with the energy and food needed to burst into growth for the approaching new moon to come.

Metaphysically, it is a time of release, in which we focus on ridding ourselves of bad habits, negative thinking, and other barriers that hold you back from growth, creating room for more positive energy to flow in as the new moon approaches.

Silver Birch (Betula alba) symbolizes new beginnings, renewal, purification, and protection. This tree holds lessons for us in how hardy even the most fragile of us can be, and in lessons to do with potential and growth. Its oils, extracted from the bark, can be used as an insect repellent as well as to treat certain skin conditions, while an infusion from its leaves is both a diuretic and antiseptic. It’s sap also has healing properties that are useful in treating urinary tract infections.

When looking at these three cards together, the theme that I see here is as the Ostara card says… “The land shall sign with the promise of Spring”.  Yes, the equinox is here and yes, spring has begun, but it is the promise spring brings that we see in these cards.  A promise that in the days and weeks to come we will find energies renewed, and life once more ready to emerge and grow strong.  The abundance is not quite here, but it’s coming. The promise has been made… and it’s coming.

EarthFive of Cups – Dissatisfied and pessimistic. This is something you’ve been battling a lot over the past month or so and you’re finally at a place where you are aware of what is going on and that it’s not just a fog but a depression. This awareness has the potential to allow you to see your moments of dissatisfaction with your current progress towards manifesting what you want as a side effect of that depression.  An illusion instead of reality.

AirKnight of Cups atop The World – Stuck in the moment and not focusing ahead on where you’re going but instead on old ideals. The Knight faces toward the past and toward the world of potential that the past holds.  Turn around and look forward towards the future, instead of staying stuck focusing on past ideals.

WaterThree of Wands – You’re getting there. The depression screws with your emotions, but you’re on your way to clearer skies. It may not always feel like it, but keep moving forward and don’t look back (an echo from the Air section of this reading).

FireSeven of Swords – You need to let go of what is too heavy to carry. Moving forward is easier without all that weight. Ease up on the expectations you put on yourself and let go of the responsibilities that don’t matter right now. You can pick stuff up later on after you’re feeling better if it’s still important at that time.  Right now, it’s just too heavy and is weighing you down. Take only what you can carry and leave the rest.

WaningThe Mystic and Staff – Wandering into the woods with no direction and allowing yourself to meander is not going to serve you well right now.  You need direction, purpose, and focus at the moment to assist you on your travels both spiritually and in life.

WaxingThe Reconciler and Moon – Accept what cannot be changed and focus on what you can alter through reasonably chosen achievable steps. Don’t allow your imagination and what is illusory to stand in your way, but instead use determination to seek clarity, purpose, and direction.

Take Away – Everything here is about opening up to potential. There is a great deal of opportunity upon the road ahead, but in order to see that opportunity clearly and take advantage of the healing it has to offer, it’s going to be necessary to confront inner demons and let go of the negative bad habits that are tying your hands and holding you down.
