Soul’s Reminder Oracle Reading

Yule Oracle Deck

What does my soul want me to remember…

From the Past

Poinsettia and Cherry – Parties and revelry may not be your style, but don’t forget that there are times in the past when you’ve enjoyed such things in moderation, and that is possible again in the future. Don’t go into future opportunities of the same with a negative attitude that might prevent you from finding enjoyment in these get-togethers.

From the Present

Caramel Popcorn and Fig – You overspent a bit this Christmas, and you learned a valuable lesson from that experience. Make sure in the future that you resort back to shopping throughout the year, rather than trying to do it so close to the holiday season.  You do much better financially when you spread out the spending over time.

Into the Future

Candle and Gingerbread – Don’t lose track of the changes you’ve made over the last few years to better align yourself with more self-care and to lean into optimism and positivity. Carry them forward and let them help you to create a more comfortable future.

Jupiter's Eye Tarot - Ten of CupsToday’s draw is the Ten of Cups, which is traditionally a representation of feelings of completion, connection with others and harmony in those connections, and is often considered as the “happy family” card.

The imagery on this card reminds me of the stories of faerie mounds and how the portal into the land of the Fae can be accessed through them by being opened at certain times of the year, or through the ministrations of a witch. Meanwhile, the hands make me think of a coven, and the work that those within the group do together, lending their strengths to a mutual cause that none of them could achieve on their own.

The message I see here in this imagery, today, is that a great deal of success and achievement can be obtained by working together on a mutual goal, and the joy and satisfaction in this endeavor is something shared with all involved when all are on board.  Today’s card, therefore, is a reminder that joy, happiness, and contentment are richer when shared, rather than hoarded to one’s self.

Month End Check-In Tarot Reading with the Baroque Tarot

Here and Now I Exist – Who you are now, in your entirety.

Knight of Wands atop Four of Pentacles – You are focused and charging forward in your endeavors to create a greater sense of financial stability in your life. The holiday rush is in full swing and you are leaning into reaping in the benefits the increased business can do for you.

The Slough – What is to be left in the past as you move forward.

Ace of Swords – Thoughtless actions need to be set aside. Now is a time for strategy and planning, rather than just reacting. Make sure with the busy season that you don’t fall into old thought patterns, but work on making sure you are fostering new healthier ones instead.

What Lies Ahead – An ideal state or ideal self you are seeking at this time.

Three of Swords Rx – You are currently seeking to stay as far away as possible from your depression and mental health issues. This includes avoiding disappointments where you can.  New strategies being discussed with your psychologist for the new year are a part of this endeavor.

Limitations – Negative influences, opposition, or ill will.

The Empress Rx – Lack of self-care is a problem at this time of year. You just don’t have the amount of time that you need to put into these endeavors at the moment. You need to make sure that you at least give yourself small bits of nurturing and self-care, though. Don’t allow yourself to starve for these things.

The Boon – Positive influences, higher guidance, or divine intervention.

Page of Pentacles – Remember that the value of money is subjective. The more value you put on it, the more miserly you become. This is a tool that can help in finding financial balance in your life.

The Wound – An unpleasant past experience or event that is ripe for some support and healing.

Ten of Wands – All those years of cycling from one burnout to the next has left its mark. You’ve found another path forward that’s not so hard on yourself. Take care that you are not going to end up falling back into the old cycles of your past.

Nostalgia – A positive past experience or event to acknowledge, reflect upon, and enjoy.

The High Priestess – Stay connected to that inner wisdom and intuition that you allow to lead you so often … even during the holiday rush, when losing touch with such things is easy to do.

A Warning – Something coming that can be prevented or overcome.

Six of Swords atop Two of Cups – Someone close to you that share a connection with is considering bailing either on your mutually shared interest or on the friendship as a whole. Pay attention and connect more strongly with them to help head off that reaction.

Empowerment – A future opportunity to work toward.

The Sun atop Nine of Wands – Do not allow your defenses and defense mechanisms steal away your opportunities for joy and success.

True Black Tarot 5th Anniversary Edition - Ace of CupsToday’s draw is the Ace of Cups, which is traditionally a representation of the seed of new beginnings in the area of one’s emotions, relationships, creativity, and intuition.

Today was decorate the Christmas tree day, which is actually something I don’t remember doing an awful lot of in the past. It was amazing, though, unwrapping delicate glass icicles and hand painted ornaments, exploring the history of a family through the bits and baubles that are then hung from the branches of a tree filled with lights.

The Ace of Cups is about new beginnings, whether that be creatively, emotionally, or within the relationships in our lives. Today’s tree decorating filled all three of those themes for me, and warmed my heart from the bottom up, just like the golden glow warms the cup of liquid from the bottom up in the imagery of today’s card. The fostering, nurturing energy I experienced today, and the connection with others combined with the creative influences and stirring of my curiosity as each unique memento was revealed?  It fits all of these themes and lightens my heart in the same way the dove’s wings lift the bird to hover at new heights.

Gratitude Lenormand Reading

Gratitude Lenormand Reading with The Friar's Delight Lenormand

How can I express gratitude for the blessings in my life?

Ship and Whip – Stop abusing yourself and others, whether through your communication and actions, or within your thoughts. Leaning into positivity will serve you far better than the negative mindset and bickering thoughts that often try to take over your thoughts.

What do I often overlook when I am counting my blessings?

Snake and Book – When counting your blessings, you often overlook that good sense within you that helps you see through deception. It’s never wrong, which you know through backing it up with research again and again. Be grateful for this sense… and trust it more.

What challenges am I grateful for overcoming?

Heart and Dog – You are becoming better at connecting with people instead of holding yourself apart. Past friendships have made it hard for you to trust that those showing they are true to you are sincere, but you are getting better at it.

What changes in my life am I grateful for experiencing?

Bear and Sun – You are becoming more determined in protecting that part of you that seeks out joy and positivity, instead of bashing that part of yourself down again and again whenever it lifts its head.

Prolonging Happiness

Ravyness Drakon TarotToday’s draw is the Nine of Cups, which is traditionally a representation of themes that have to do with contentment, accomplishment, and satisfaction in the area of one’s emotions, relationships, creativity, and intuition.

Look at that big ass cup that the dragon drinks from in this card. Is it no wonder that the dragon is content and satiated?  And yet, still more await the dragon in the background… a promise of still more goodness to come, and assurance that the satisfaction they feel is not a fluke.

This Nine of Cups is a reminder that not all happiness is fleeting.  Sometimes, when you find that perfect fit, it can be prolonged and build upon into something even better, if you’re willing to make yourself at home with the idea that happiness is allowed… and doesn’t have to be something you chase after or a temporary state.

I treated myself to the next three books in the series I’m listening to on audiobook at the moment. The story in my ear helps me to focus on the work in my hands, and I’d just finished the last set of nine, so it was time for more.
