Cartomancy Reading – Experiences

The prompt for this reading came from one of my Discord servers and is as follows: “Experiences are a part of life, big or small, but what we do next will help us even more.I hope you all have a wonderful week, write this one down! You may need it later. ❤️”

Cartomancy with the Haunted Playing CardsWhat experience(s) am I not allowing myself to have right now?

Seven of Diamonds – Slow moving growth.

Eight of Clubs – Getting anywhere fast.

Four of Spades – Recuperative rest.

Take Away: You are spinning your wheels, neither moving quickly in the things you need to do, nor allowing yourself the slow progress of growth. You are also not getting the rest you need to bounce back stronger. All in all, these cards are saying you are stuck in a moment of stagnancy.

How could I use the answer above to shape my next journey?
Five of Diamonds atop Three of Clubs atop Four of Diamonds atop Ace of Spades

There is a need for stability that is lacking right now, and it has wedged itself between your ambitions and your ability to move forward and take action. This need for stability is bred by your scarcity issues, and the only way you are going to break through it is to force yourself to get moving even though you don’t feel like it.  Put away “what you feel like” and just move your ass anyway.

How might this be beneficial to me? Why?
Ace of Clubs atop Ten of Clubs

You need motivation to push you forward, or the scarcity issues you deal with overtake and make you stall out. Once you get moving and get the ball rolling on what needs to be done, it will get easier.

A Liminal Time Tarot Reading

A Liminal Time Tarot Reading - The Infernal Tarot

1. Otherworld – a message from the otherworld

Three of Wands – Get moving. The time for planning has passed.  You need to get your ass in gear and start getting things done.

2. Thinning veil – honoring what is

Four of Wands – Hearth and home. This ties into some other readings you’ve done this week, and the need for a greater amount of gratitude considering all that you have.

3. Final Harvest – gathering nourishment for the soul

King of Swords – Embody the ambition and responsibility that is required of you, and the rest will fall into place.

4. Death – what I’m readying to release

King of Cups – As the holiday rush begins, you will have to release the extra time and attention you’ve been enjoying with Gideon. It sucks, but  you know that’s how it has to be.

5. Transmutation – supporting my cyclical passage

Two of Cups – Let those around you help and support you as you dive into the busy season.  You don’t have to go at it alone.

Weekly Creativity Prompt – Autumn Themes

Prompt: From your deck of choice, select one card that you feel fits each of the themes below (I actually chose randomly):
1) A wander in the Autumn woods
2) Guidance from the Past
3) The Beginning of the End
Post the 3 cards you chose, and share with us how you made the connections that you did with the prompts above.

Omens TarotA Wander in the Autumn Woods

The Sun – As fall arrives and the air cools, I spend more time outside enjoying nature, breathing in the crisp air, and bonding with nature. These experiences light me up from the inside and bring me a great deal of joy and happiness.

Whether hiking in dappled sunlight through a canopy of leaves, or under the rapid pitter-patter of falling rain, this time of year and my time spent in nature is my “Sun” card through and through.

Guidance from the Past

The Hierophant – It is through our past that we become who we are in the present, and it is through our ancestors we are taught the traditions and values that we carry forward into the future.

I may not have the greatest relationship with my family or my parents, but I acknowledge this connection and I understand that even those ancestors that are passed on still walk my path with me today and every day.

The Beginning of the End

The Star – When I  hear the phrase “the beginning of the end” it always brings to mind the moment when hope begins to falter and die.  Whether it’s a story, a legacy, or a life… I feel that hope is an essential part of continuing onward, moving forward, and improving one’s life and self.

What I’ve come to realize is that even when we feel as if there is not a shred of hope left within us?  There is… it’s still there.  Sometimes, its flame just flickers so very faintly that it’s impossible to see when life is at its darkest.

Lenormand Reading – Illuminate

Malefique Lenormand

How to find the flame of hope in trouble times?

Coffin and Child – Look at these problems as an impetus for change and the opportunity to start fresh.

How to ignite the flame of hope?

Letter and Cross – Use crappy news to spark your oppositional nature and get you worked up. The stirring up of energy feeds into your hope, as it awakens your determination.

How to keep the light of hope burning within?

Book and Heart – When you need a little extra help fanning the flames of hope, reach out to Gideon for this. He knows you better than anyone.. often better than you know yourself, and has the ability to lift you up.

How to amplify my light and shine for others?

Tree and Anchor – Amplify your light by making sure that you are taking care of yourself.  You can’t help others if you are wearing yourself down and not caring for yourself properly.

Full Moon in Aries – October 2021

Today is the full moon, and like all new moons and full moons, I did a spread aligned to the moon’s current themes as a part of my recognition of the moon’s cycle and influences upon us. Today’s spread is about rocking your authenticity, and brought to you by Sharron Basanti of Seeds of Shakti.

Da Brigh's Dark Tarot - Full Moon in Aries

1. What half truths about myself do I need to acknowledge and release in order to rock my authenticity?

The Hierophant atop Six of Swords – Sometimes you feel the urge to run away rather than deal with things in an adult manner. This is actually natural for everyone, and not something that you need to be ashamed of or beat yourself up about.

2. How can I tap into my true potential to accomplish my core desires?

Queen of Wands – Give yourself the praise and encouragement that you crave, so that you are not looking for it elsewhere.

3. In what aspect of my life do I need to step up to the plate as a leader?

Seven of Wands – You aren’t giving enough praise to those around you. By providing them with praise you are encouraging them, telling them that are appreciated, letting them know that what they contribute is appreciated, as well as putting it out there that they are doing well. This then encourages them to take pride in themselves and their work.

4. When would I benefit from taking risks and being impulsive?

The Tower – When the time to tear things down and rebuild has arrived, impulsivity and risk taking is okay.  It can even be beneficial in these times, to be impulsive instead of strategizing out every single minute detail.

5. Message from the Ancestors.

Five of Swords – Focus on getting ready, for the battle is almost upon you. (aka. the holiday rush)

Cartomancy Reading – Daily Habits

The prompt for this reading came from one of my Discord servers and is as follows:
I bet you thought I forgot about today! Well, I kind of did and that’s because I didn’t have my routine in check today. So, let’s ponder on that.”

Bicycle's Vintage Vampires Playing CardsWhat do I think about my daily habits?

Seven of Spades – A necessary evil. A time sucker that has to be included in my day.

How do I feel about my daily habits?

Jack of Diamonds – They are a work in progress. You are in the process of learning how to be kinder to yourself, and through that kindness, treat yourself better. It takes time, and that is frustrating.

Are my daily habits something I should look at more deeply?

Seven of Diamonds atop King of Hearts – Yes, with Gideon’s help present along the way to give you a different, kinder perspective. Take your time with it. This is a life journey, not a quick fix.

Where will my daily habits carry me forward into the future?

Ten of Clubs – As you move forward into the future, make sure that you are not losing focus on the most important aspect of this journey in kindness. That includes doing what is needed to mitigate burnout, and keep it under control.

Will these habits be a positive influence on my future?

Six of Clubs atop Four of Spades – Absolutely. By feeling more rested and allowing yourself recovery time, you open yourself up to greater success with less setbacks along the way.

How could I rearrange my habits, if I need to?

Two of Clubs – Plan ahead. Make sure you have times of rest set into your schedule. Planning these times into your schedule ahead of time will ensure you get what you need when you need it.

Should I rearrange my habits?

Eight of Diamonds – Only if you are going to improve upon what you are learning about being kind to yourself. No backsliding.

If yes, is there anything that could help me with that?

Five of Spades – Don’t fight so hard against these changes that are ultimately only going to benefit you.

Take Away: I did not set out with a specific daily habit in mind with this reading, but it became clear rather quickly that this reading is about getting the rest and restoration time I need. Ie: sleep, meditation, and time off.

Bonus: “You are always on the path to the best version of yourself no matter what the day may bring. You just keep getting better and I’m proud of you. 🖤
