Simmer Pot

Nosebleeds
and sore sinuses
bring
stainless steel
out of hiding
with water
to the brim
and heat beneath
a dance floor
is gifted to
orange peels
and apple cores
and a cinnamon stick
or two
that twirl and spin
together
in a dance
that soothes
the senses
