All Aglow

The Christmas lights
are hung
and garlands
twisted and twined
while plastic snowflakes
and ornaments
shimmer
along the rail
and inside
is welcoming warmth
and a decorated tree
and if you’re very lucky
maybe
a fresh baked cookie
or three
