Summer sliding
to a close
as August
sighs its last
and delicate petals
seek the sun
and a bit more time
before they
fade away
as each day
that passes
brings the dark
to stretch longer
and flowers
fade away

  1. I’m so ready for summer to be done….and this week is going to be a big break in the heat here so that will be SO nice as the AC cannot keep up with direct sun when it’s 90 outside
