The Nuzzle
Just one breath
an inhale made
and suddenly
you
are within me
your scent
your strength
your touch
drawn in deep
a calming balm
on the soul.

Gideon’s Challenge
Heliotropism
I turn to you
like a flower
to the sun
stretching into
your nurturing
and strength
as you help me
to grow
into a better man.
Thank you for last night, my love. I really needed your help to see things differently. I might still be struggling to fully grasp everything we talked about, but the new perspective has found rich soil in which to grow, I think it just needs some more encouragement in order to flourish.

Gideon’s Challenge
Four Years Ago
A pretty girl
with speckled fur
and amber eyes
a bright orange butt
and
permabooger nose
stole my heart
and took over
my life.
How did that happen?

Gideon’s Challenge
Mine
Hot skin
Slow beat
Every breath
a hitch
such heat
make it hurt
make it sting
make it hot
make you scream
I want to make you
soar

Gideon’s Challenge
Stichomancy
Sacred syllables
and whispered words
pages fanned
to dive right in
for small bits
of wisdom
Lost and found
in a book

Weekly Creativity Prompt – The Playlist
This is a fun repeat exercise that I’ve now used a few times and resurrect every couple of months!
Have you ever listened to a song and suddenly realized “This song is such a Tower song!”? This week’s activity is based off the love of music and how we associate music with the world around us.
Activity: Randomly draw five cards from your deck. For each card pick (or find) a song that you feel fits that card perfectly.
