Rainy Work Days
Rainy days
bring muddy fields
and wet grasses
to soak through
denim hems
and chill the skin
beneath
and yet
hair dripping
and water trailing
down nape’s flesh
I look up
and smile
as the world is
washed clean
writing activity
Gideon’s Challenge
Rain Dancing
Lets dance
in mud puddles
and splash around
where ducks watch
from edges
and will give us
a crown
for being the
most inventive
of all the fowl
for surely
we’re not fish
able to walk
upon ground

Gideon’s Challenge
The Frayed Edge
Frayed and fuzzed
bent and broken
some days
the pain
of life’s bumps
and bruises
feel like too much
and all
that is wanted
is a different kind
of fuzzed
not frayed
but faded.

Gideon’s Challenge
Longing for Leisure
I want to go out
among tall trees
and open fields
and lie
among moss
and lichen
to look up at the sky
and make stories
from the cast
of shadows and light
upon fluffy tufts
of atmosphere

Gideon’s Challenge
The Detour
Fast moving decisions
speak of discipline
and control
focus in every moment
as unexpected
changes in direction
create potential for
painful consequences
and heart skips
a beat
as others are not
so vigilant

Weekly Creativity Prompt – Movies & Music
Have you ever seen a movie that fit a specific tarot card perfectly, run across a movie quote that was the epitome of a certain tarot card, or even lyrics to a song that match a tarot card just right? This week’s creativity is all about themes in the tarot that translate onto the big screen and music!
Pick (or randomly draw) at least three cards. For each card pick, (or find) a movie, movie quote, or song lyrics that you feel fits that card perfectly.
