Finding the Positive Message for May 11th – 13th

Sage Rabbit Tarot, Narutarot, Nature Spirit Tarot

May 11

Today’s meditation was ten minutes long and I cannot remember what the hell it was about. I know it was quiet and needed, though, which is good enough.

Four of Swords – Recuperation is needed. You hurt and are exhausted. Make sure you get what’s rest you can when you can, even if it’s sitting down when it’s an option instead of looking for other things that need done. You need these mini-rests to help you stay strong.

May 12

Today’s meditation was ten minutes long. The topic was about self-worth and how all of us deserve respect. It isn’t something earned, but comes part and parcel with common decency. The meditation was focused of helping in opening ourselves up to receiving kindness, respect, and caring from others.

The High Priestess – Good judgment is not all about logic. Intuition is important. Use it to assist in making decisions today and you will more easily avoid those things you don’t want, and welcome in the ones you do.

Today’s meditation was ten minutes long as was an encouragement not to get frustrated with yourself when you have setbacks in your practice or need to back off. This is true with meditation, and with any other type of practice. Setbacks happen. So you do a little instead of a lot.. or even your normal amount. What counts is consistency, not quantity.

Page of Pentacles (feat. Cicindela campestris and Echinacea purpurea) – You are learning new ways to manifest ideas and possibilities into reality. Take things slow and focus on the healthy path over the expedient one. Contradictory to what first glance of logic might tell you, sometimes it turns out that the slower path will get you where you want to go faster than rushing can.

Finding the Positive Message for May 8th – 10th

Eternal Tarot Sun Deck, Cat Tarot, Easter Tarot

May 8

Today’s meditation was eleven minutes long. It’s focus was on combating depression with the awareness of impermanence. In other words, remembering that everything is temporary. This is a practice I do often, especially during my depressive episodes. It helps a great deal.

Ten of Cups – Emotional satiation and completion. Make sure that you advocate today for your own happiness and what you need to feel content and sated. Even when caring for others, you need to care for your own needs as well.

Eight of Cups – This is the “fuck this shit, I quit” card and speaks of the frustration that comes with people, things, and situations that are not suited to us, as well as our reactions to them.

Sometimes? Walking away is our only healthy option. This card asks us to look at what in our lives is ready to be discarded for our own health and sanity, and to begin the steps needed to leave those people, things, and/or situations behind.

May 10

Today’s meditation was ten minutes, and was about how the struggles, trials, and obstacles we go through in life are not things in our way along life’s path, but rather -are- the path. Sometimes the path is easy, sometimes it’s hard, but these hard moments are a part of the process and not something to resent, but rather, something to learn from.

Six of Wands – The people pleasing card. Focus on what others need today. It’s a big day for pleasing others, as Ms B comes home today. Work on making her comfortable and everything will go more smoothly in having done so.

May 5

No meditation this morning.

Two of Swords – Heavy decisions. The birds at the crown of the head speak of looking at all the facts prior to making any important decisions today. Explore with open eyes and an open mind, mull everything over… then be decisive without hesitation.

Meditation this morning was ten minutes long, and focused on understanding why we focus on the moment during meditative practice and why the mind tries to stray during these times.

Three of Cups – Don’t let pride keep you from accepting the abundance being offered to you. Instead, use what’s offered to keep yourself well fed and assure that your needs are being met.

She’s not paying you to be there, but taking care of you so that you can be there.

Meditation this morning was ten minutes long and I almost skipped it, but remembered this channel and did it instead, so at least for now the channel seems to be working. The meditation today was about labeling interruptions during meditation as a method of letting them go rather than lingering in them.

Three of Wands – Look for opportunities to put plans into action today. It’s time to move instead of standing still, stalling out, or lingering any longer in the planning stages.
For me, this is about getting what I can done for my business (orders wise), and setting things up to take time off a little earlier than planned.

Patience in Leadership

Today’s meditation was skipped.

IMG_E2613Today’s draw is the Emperor card, which is traditionally a representation of “big dick energy” (look at that sword!). Right so that’s a very modern way of saying what this card represents, which is to say the Emperor is about authority, leadership, structure, and responsibility with a focus on the “greater good”.

In this imagery, the Emperor is not looking particularly thrilled with his lot in life at the moment. Those steely eyes look ready to do a full on hard-jawed eye roll, in fact.  And yet, there is a great deal of stillness here in the figure, among all the movement going on with his robes and hair.

The message we see in today’s card is about patience.  Sometimes being a good leader means that even though you know what needs to be done, sometimes you have to wait for others to catch up.  Leaders can’t lead without people behind them to usher forward to greater things.  Sometimes that “ushering forward” feels a whole lot more like herding… and that’s okay.  Practice a little patience.  Take a deep breath.  What’s obvious to you might take others a bit of time to understand… but they’ll get there.

Primrose: Young Love – How can I add more of the exuberance of young love into my life?

Fly Free – Allow others to see the real you… even your fun loving and silly sides, as well as the vulnerability that you try so hard to hide. It is when you share all of yourself that you shine your brightest and are most approachable to others.

Even though I was a bit overwhelmed by a sudden burst of orders for Mothers Day, I made sure to take a few small breaks here and there to have a breather throughout the day.
