Attentive and sweet
she’s waiting for me
with ears perked
and listening
for the key to slide
into the lock
and turn
to announce
my arrival
and send her running
to say hello
and rush eagerly
to greet me
at the end of the rug
by my front door
Falling Leaves Oracle Reading
What cycle is reaching its end and is coming to completion?
Boo Boo Shaw – You are not going to have to continue to “fake it til you make it” with a brave face as you have through the summer months. It’s okay to start to relax and not worry so much what new nightmare is lurking around every corner.
What is falling away to make room for later growth?
Blackthorn atop Badger – You have spent the year learning how to connect with others in new ways and deeper levels, how to find value in those connections, and have practiced a level of patience you’ve never before shown. With going home this week, you can begin moving back into your own space while seeing the world and those in it in a new light.
How can more easily cope with the changes that need to occur?
Bear – Stand strong and protect what’s yours. Show your love to those that matter through your courage and strength. You are the “mama bear” and when you embody that energy during difficult changes, it helps immensely in getting your through them.
How can I open myself to the beauty of endings?
Luna atop Fir – It’s important to remember that during times of change and transition, there will always be things that stand firm and remain a constant. A beacon of hope in the storm, so to speak. Don’t get so caught up in the whirlwind and chaos of change that you forget to spot those beacons and use them to anchor and ground you.

Gideon’s Challenge
I am for you
and you for me
and together
we wander
from glacier stream
to forest glen
from mossy grove
to soft, soft sand
as water washes
between our toes
and bits of shell
tumble to and fro
while fingers catch
and lace with another
as we walk along
we belong together

❤️ Self Care Saturday (On a Sunday)
These Saturday readings are (not usually) bearing in on any one thing or event in my life, as the question used is asking for a more general outlook. This is a self care exercise, and is not meant as a predictive reading… although that, too, happens on occasion.
The question is… What do I need to focus for self-care through the week ahead?
Earth – Ace of Cups – Give yourself a chance to connect positively with your body. Give it some love this week and allow it a chance to be renewed. By doing so, you’ll find yourself happier with it in the long run.
Air – Six of Wands atop Knight of Wands – Keep an eye on that tendency to jump at the first indication that others need or want something from you this week. Ms B should be doing things herself now other than in a few very rare cases, and you stepping in to help is not going to help in progressing her mobility.
Water – Two of Swords – Make decisions that support your mental health. You need to prioritize yourself and your emotional well-being this week. Don’t allow yourself to turn a blind eye to your own needs in order to please someone else.
Fire – Two of Cups – You have the support of others to help you return to normal. Lean on them to help you find your footing. Also, make sure you take someone with you when you go hiking.
Waning – The Peeper and The Sun – You can stop living vicariously through others. As you settle back in at home and seek to find your equilibrium this week, begin stepping into your own life again instead of taking joy through others’ experiences.
Waxing – The Wizard and The Call – You are capable of finding balance, and have all the tools you need at your disposal to make it happen. The world and energy always seeks balance, and it will only take a bit of direction on your part to get things to settle back where they need to be.

Finding the Positive for October 4 – 6
October 4
Today’s meditation was ten minutes long, and was focused on the message in today’s cards, which is…
Six of Cups – Choose to not listen to the negative narrative in your head. Choose to not be pessimistic. Choose to not be negative. Choose to not listen to that negative voice in your head that says “no you can’t”.
“I’m the cauldron of my own happiness, brewing up visions of success.” For you, positivity and optimism is a conscious choice, and your success relies on making the choice to lean into that positivity.

October 5
Today’s meditation was ten minutes long and took place while soaking in the bathtub. The meditation was focused on the message in today’s cards, which is…
The Shadow Self (aka. The Devil) – Self destruction is a temptation of yours that comes with a great number of bad habits and unhealthy urges and nasty negative inner narratives. Sometimes, you don’t even realize that you’re indulging in them until something turns around and shines a spotlight on them.
One of those self destructive habits is to put yourself down, often without even realizing you’re doing it. It’s not difficult, with the scars and damage you wear, and yet when something comes along like the affirmation “I am Boo-tiful” it brings home a reminder that you have let this quiet voice in your head get out of control.
Make sure you don’t ignore what’s going on. Now that it’s been brought into the spotlight? Take time to counteract these destructive moments with positive ones. Feed that pain filled inner soul something good with a bit of self appreciation today.

October 6
Today’s meditation was ten minutes long, and was focused on the message in today’s cards, which is…
Wheel of Fortune – Set aside fear and pride, and focus on being kind… even to those that you feel might not deserve it. When you seek to approach others and life as a whole with kindness, you live consciously, aware of how you affect others and the world around you as a whole. Everything in life is easier when you offer kindness to yourself and to others. The good times are even better, the bad times are a little less heavy.
