A promise that
spring comes
not with the
whisper
of sweet words
but with
the soft brush
of a lover’s fingertips
over skin
with each kiss
of breeze
upon the skin
and every trill
of birdsong
that sweeps
through senses
The Creative Quill
Today’s meditation was skipped.
Today’s draw is the Ace of Swords, which is traditionally a representation of the seed of new beginnings in the area of one’s intellect, education, ambitions, thoughts, and communication. This often translates into themes that have to do with new ideas and interests, new contacts or ways to communicate with others, or new interests or educational pursuits.
The feather in this card makes me think of a quill and brings my mind to the fact that I am eager to get back home to Gideon where we can then pick up our literary roleplay.
It’s difficult (often impossible) for me to do this activity with him when I’m on the road, and I’m eager to get back to it with him now that my enthusiasm is kindled.
Today’s card brings my mind to these pursuits and encourages being open to trying new things.

Prompt for March 22nd: Flowers and a tarot card.
In the background of this image are flowers that I saw today on my journeys.
DECK USED: THE LIKELY TAROT

I might have caught a few catnaps yesterday, but I made up for it today with one long nap after another, only waking long enough to navigate when needed or eat when we stopped.
Gideon’s Challenge
I miss the crunch
of stone and sand
underfoot
at the water’s edge
as the tides
reveal pools
filled with
shells and crabs
while clouds
float
over high hills
and mountain peaks
in the distance
while scents
of fresh crisp air
fill my lungs
and clear away
the cobwebs of life

Breathe In the Good
Today’s meditation was skipped.
Today’s draw is the Ten of Cups, which is traditionally a representation of emotional fulfillment, harmonious relationships, and finding abundance on an emotional level that spills over to incorporate those around you.
Breathe in the good and exhale the bad. That is what the imagery in today’s card reminds me of, is that breath exercise used in pain management (and anxiety management as well) where you breathe in the good and exhale the bad.
It’s going to be a busy and chaotic day today, and today’s card is a reminder that you have much to be happy about, and the ability to keep things positive. Just… breathe out the bad and focus instead on soaking in those things that make you happy instead.
DECK USED: TAROT OF THE HIDDEN REALM

I took breaks where I was able today, even with everyone in a hurry to get here and there. I ignored an asshole at lunch, and even took a nap in the car at one point.

Photo Album: Something important that you have forgotten.
Sun and Stork – You need to reexamine what really makes you happy. Not what you think is supposed to make you happy, but what really makes you smile and feel good and happy on the inside. You have a habit of getting too caught up in the rigors of responsibility and forget to stay in touch with what actually brings you happiness.
Baseball Bat: Something simple that you can still wield.
Fish and Anchor – You have the ability to choose not to be weighed down by responsibilities, and the ability to let go and go with the flow instead. It’s not as hard as you think to just loosen up and let things move at their own pace instead of constantly tangling yourself up in the expectations you put upon yourself.
Violin: Something connecting you to something larger than yourself.
Letter and Man – This is Gideon. It’s about the fact that he is constantly reaching for you and there for you, allowing you to lean on him and sharing honestly with you what he thinks and how he feels from one day to the next. Through the example he sets in this area, you strive to be a better person yourself.
