Winter blooms
bleached of color
hide in plain sight
among the rocks
and soil
as they wait
for summer sun
that will breathe life
and color
back into the world
and shower
flower petals
with kisses
until they blush
📆 Transitioning from February to March
Here and Now I Exist – Who you are now, in your entirety.
Ace of Pentacles – You are working at starting anew in many areas right now. It’s important that you take care to take things one thing at a time, one step at a time.
The Slough – What is to be left in the past as you move forward.
Strength – Don’t burn your bridges. When you destroy the past, you are severing off a part of yourself as well. You can leave these things behind without being destructive about it.
What Lies Ahead – An ideal state or ideal self you are seeking at this time.
The High Priestess – You wish to be wiser about your own life as well as how you share with others, including being more knowledgeable concerning which secrets need holding back and which can be discreetly revealed.
Limitations – Negative influences, opposition, or ill will.
Knight of Pentacles atop Eight of Cups – Again. The temptation to burn bridges has been a long time coming, but it’s not the right choice at this time and will do you more harm than good.
The Boon – Positive influences, higher guidance, or divine intervention.
Ten of Cups – Count your blessings well and enjoy them. This especially applies to the people in your life.
The Wound – An unpleasant past experience or event that is ripe for some support and healing.
Five of Cups Rx – Your pessimistic nature hurts you far more than it helps you. Look at how it has helped to push you into the pit of depression in the past, and use the tools you’ve developed over time to help counteract its influence.
Nostalgia – A positive past experience or event to acknowledge, reflect upon, and enjoy.
The Fool atop Ace of Cups – As you move into the month ahead, take time to reflect upon all of the times you have allowed yourself to dive into your emotions and let them spark your enthusiasm. Remember that not all emotions are bad emotions.
A Warning – Something coming that can be prevented or overcome.
Eight of Pentacles – Make sure you aren’t pushing yourself to work too hard. Too much work is not good for you. Pushing yourself to do more is not the answer.
Empowerment – A future opportunity to work toward.
The Sun – A happy fun-filled summer. It’s a possibility that’s open to you if you choose to work toward it. It won’t drop in your lap but will require focus to help it to come about.
Message from the Spirit World – Work at a job you love, and you will never work a day in your life.
Message from the Mind’s World – Sometimes new transplants and new journeys require a gentle touch.
Message from the Physical World – Let go of destructive tendencies, and move forward into a fresh start chasing more joy in your life.
DECKS USED: FAIRY TAROT
Every Day Special
Today’s meditation was ten minutes long, and was one of the #DailyTrip sessions from the Calm app.
Today’s draw is the Justice card combined with the affirmation “You don’t need to be appealing to everyone.”
The message in these cards is that when you are down on yourself, hard on yourself, it has consequences. The harder you are on yourself and more down on yourself that you are, the harsher the consequences for those thoughts, judgements, and negative mindsets.
Instead, try remembering that the only person you have to impress is yourself, and to do that? All you need is to appreciate one small thing about -you- every day. One small thing you acknowledge and find beautiful, powerful, wonderful, or special about yourself. Even these small things build up over time like change dropped in a jar, and help swing back against those negative thoughts and the consequences they hold.

Prompt for February 29th : Grab a spread of your choice that you’ve been curious about… and give it a go!
Spread: The Back On Track Tarot Spread by @pipcardstarot
How to forgive yourself for getting “off track”.
Eight of Coins Rx – Work on accepting that everyone needs downtime now and again. Even you.
How to congratulate yourself on whatever you have achieved, no matter how small.
Knight of Swords – Just do it. In order to congratulate yourself on these things, you need to acknowledge their existence and think about them instead of pushing them aside. Draw them into your focus instead, and focus on the congratulations side of things instead of what you could’ve done better.
Where to focus your attention now.
Six of Coins – You need to continue working on being kinder to yourself and others. You’re very good at being generous to other people, but not to yourself, and you need to balance the scales in this area.

I spent some time playing with Gideon today, and took a couple of naps. The cold continues on and I’m also taking my Dayquil/Nyquil.
Gideon’s Challenge
It’s okay. Just… Stay
Today’s meditation was skipped.
Today’s draw is the King of Swords combined with the affirmation “The world wouldn’t be right without you in it. Stay.”
Yes, you’re stubborn. Yes, sometimes you have your head stuck up your ass. You’re a force to be reckoned with, and that’s not a bad thing. People depend on your cleverness and leadership, and that’s also not a bad thing.
Don’t give up just because you aren’t “feeling it” at the moment. Rest is okay, but retreat is not. So stand tall and stay… tell the world to wait… but stay. You can take control and plot your course any way you want to.
So stay… and do that.

Questions for February 28th and 29th
How should you go forward with my relationship with myself?
Knight of Pentacles and Raccoon – Go slowly and be kind. Use the slow pace to heal the damage done to you in your past and build yourself up from that “not enough” mindset.
With this extra day, how can I give myself some extra love?
Ten of Swords and Horse – You have reached the end of a difficult journey. Instead of rehashing all the things you did wrong along the way, celebrate your victories, and let the blame game and guilt go.

#DiscordTarotholicsFeb2024 Challenge Prompt
Philosophical Question for February 28th : Does love necessitate action, or can it exist simply as a feeling?
Reading Summary: Sometimes, when we are young (Six of Cups), we feel the need to go after each, and every shred of love and foster them into something great (Queen of Swords), even the ones that really should get away (Seven of Swords). But as we get older, we learn to enjoy being grounded as our emotions speak, and are not so tempted to chase but appreciate instead (Nine of Pentacles).
Take Away: It can simply exist as a feeling, but it usually takes us getting older and more experienced with the world and our emotions at large before we are able to leave it alone and let it just be and exist. When we are young, it’s far too easy to fall into the need to chase it or -do- something about it.

This is a catch up post, and I’m not entirely sure what the self kindness was for this day.
🎨 Weekly Creativity Prompt – Queen of Cups
Prompt: “Pull the Queen of Cups card from your deck(s). Compare the imagery between the card provided below and the card(s) from your own deck(s). How would you read them differently and why?“
The Wizard Tarot – For me, the imagery in this particular Queen of Cups is looking like a representation of the reversed meaning. Between her expression and the pouring of the cup into the water around her, it feels like this card’s sentiment is “cry me a river”. She appears so very tired of hearing other people’s feelings and emotions, and it feels never ending to her. In a reading, I would interpret this card as asking the querent if they haven’t perhaps been complaining overly much lately, perhaps to one person in their life in general, and suggest mixing things up by giving them some interaction that isn’t centered around unhappy emotions.
Fairy Tarot – The queen in this card’s imagery reminds me of the Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland. She has the potential to be warm and sweet, but there’s a cunning in her eyes that makes you wonder what she’s up to. Just as she has that capability of sweet, she has the capability of getting too wrapped up in her own emotions and desires and thus become selfish. This card asks you to look at those around you that you perceive as being selfish… what is it that they are lacking? What is it they need in order to balance things out and become caring and supportive people again?
The Mythical Creatures Tarot of Orient – Emotions are often chaotic and wild, the clash and bang around like the sea in the imagery of this card, always moving and often violent. And yet, here we see the Queen of Cups holds steady the jade vase, even among the chaos of the storm. Others, smaller and less steady come to her for stability, and she can provide that for them as well. This card promises emotional stability in the face of chaos, and suggests seeking out those in your life that provide that touch stone for you.
City Labyrinth Tarot – Here a woman sits, quiet and reserved with a glass of wine, as if waiting to chat. I see here an encouragement to share your feelings with those that will listen and be emotionally supportive to you. Sometimes, the easiest way to sort out one’s feelings is to talk about them with someone else.
