Small and delicate
I shrink down
from five foot ten
to four foot nothing
to two foot three
and then further still
until small enough
to crawl
into your pocket
where I can burrow
into the comfort
of you
and the world
disappears

Today’s draw is the Pre-Ace of Cups card represented by Muscovite and Milkweed. There is no traditional meaning for this card, as the “Pre-Ace” cards in this deck are additional cards added onto the traditional tarot structure.
Muscovite is made up of perfectly cleavaged layers, and in the Cups suit, this speaks of layers of emotion. The milkweed seeds in the image on the card highlight the fine fibers of floss that allow the seeds to float and be carried on currents of air.
Together, these two elements remind us that all emotions are temporary, and to help us in understanding them, it’s important to let them flow freely and not try to weigh them down or bury them.

Questions for September 1st thru 3rd
What still needs harvesting this season?
The Hermit (Eryngos) and Eight of Pentacles (Dahlia) – You still have a bit of time left in the season to do some solo work concerning your business. Soon enough, everything will have to be a group effort once again, but for right now take care of the things that you want to do on your own.
What helps when you’re….
Angry – The Bobcat and Blackthorn – Revenge plotting, combined with the awareness that even should you do nothing, what goes around comes around. Thus, you know that while you plot and plan what is probably not going to ever be enacted, that all you have to do is wait and watch and satisfaction will be forthcoming.
Sad – The Coyote and Datura – Fake it until you make it. When you are struggling with sadness, it helps to just keep going and pretend everything is fine. When you “fake it until you make it”, you’re so focused on pretending that everything is fine that the stuff that isn’t can sometimes fade off into the background and not matter as much.
Needing to Relax – The Hare and Oak – Moments of gratitude for what you have and the ability to take opportunities and use them to manifest what you want in life. Awareness of all that you have and have accomplished allows you to take a breath and realize that things aren’t as bad as that constant drive within your tries to tell you they are.
What is something new you should try?
Two of Wands (Amaranth and Willow) and Ace of Cups (Periwinkle) – Try making a plan on how you want to handle new emotions as they arise instead of waiting for them pop up and then dealing with them in the moment. Having a set plan in place can help you in not spinning your wheels when you get surprised by something new.

Questions for September 1st thru 3rd – REFLECT
What am I asked to reflect on or focus on this month?
Ice & Edelweiss (King of Swords) atop Anyolite & Ivy (Three of Pentacles) – Lean into practicality and logic in your creative endeavors with others this month. Although an earlier reading has suggested that you still have a little bit of time left in which to work solo, this is not going to be the case as time moves on this month. You need to make sure that you are ready to direct focus (both yours and others) towards harmonious collaboration as the month goes on.
What energy is available to support me throughout September?
Bazzite & Daphne (Ace of Swords) – Mental clarity and new ideas are ripe and ready for picking this September. Lean into creative thinking and take care that you don’t get stuck in the mental box of closed mindedness.
In what way or area can my September journey help me?
Garnet & Cherry (Eight of Pentacles) – you have the ability to begin training your body and applying your skills towards the holiday rush early, so that by the time the rush appears you are not just prepared but ahead of the game. Don’t waste this time.

I had a moment of anxiety today and allowed myself to step away and cry my way through a little temper -tantrum-anxiety-mess-thing instead of burying it.

On the Other Side
Today’s meditation was skipped.
Today’s draw is the Five of Cups, which is traditionally a representation of pessimism, doomsday thinking, regrets and disappointments, and occasionally, failure (or at the very least, the perception of failure).
Look it up for a little dude that just fell out of his cup while the others are all topsy-turvy. And from the spill from the overturned cup then becomes a path that leads into a tunnel in the distance.
What’s on the other side of the tunnel?
The imagery in this card is a reminder that misfortune can sometimes lead to new things if you’re willing to change your perspective from one of pessimism over to optimism.

Bonus: The Seeker Tarot Spread
What guidance or advice can help me right now?
Left Three Cards – Beauty and magic in the world is all around you. It’s not about seeking some remarkable thing or reaching for more, but rather it’s about appreciating what is here and now more, and delving deeper into those things to really see all of the beauty and magic they have to offer.
What signs should I pay close attention to today?
Center Two – Laughter. Make sure that you are looking for and paying close attention to those that retreat from it rather than going with the flow.
In what area am I asked to follow my intuition?
Right Two Cards – Seek out those things that bring you joy. It’s often hard for you to identify these things, as you are hardwired to lean into self-sabotage and self-punishment instead. Your intuition can help you in seeking out true joy and identifying the things that bring it out for you.

Where should I listen to the wild one within me?
Queen of Wands – There is great joy in your creativity, and a freedom there in that creative spark that you love and cherish. Foster that creativity within yourself today and every day.
What personal strength should I use and nurture today?
Three of Swords – Just as you are able to function (and in fact rejoice) while it is raining and the weather is crap, so too can you move through times of trial and disappointment. Make sure you aren’t letting small disappointments ruin your whole day.
What can I do to honor my independence right now?
Three of Pentacles – Work with others. Prove to yourself that independence does not require solitude.
DECK USED: THE DREAM TAROT

I pulled my decks for September today. I know this sounds more like work than a self-kindness, but after how much I struggled with leaving them on the shelves and pulling what I want to use daily last month, this is a huge self kindness to myself to pull them all for the month ahead.
📆 Transitioning from August to September
Here and Now I Exist – Who you are now, in your entirety.
The Moon and Nine of Clubs – You are feeling a lot of uncertainty right now, which is understandable. These two weeks are the slowest part of the year for your business and you are currently in the lull that follows the completion of a large project. Don’t allow these feelings to push you to lax your boundaries with yourself. Healthy choices are needed, even when feelings of uncertainty are messing with you.
The Slough – What is to be left in the past as you move forward.
Death and Seven of Spades – Stop looking at changes as a disruption. Resisting creates problems and stress. Instead of looking at them as a destruction of harmony, try seeing changes as an opportunity.
What Lies Ahead – An ideal state or ideal self you are seeking at this time.
Ace of Swords and Three of Diamonds – Inspiration and an ease of communication with others as you work together to prepare for the holiday rush. There hasn’t been a need to really synchronize over the past few months, but that time is fast approaching.
Limitations – Negative influences, opposition, or ill will.
Eight of Cups and Four of Spades – Watch out for the ones that have gone silent or walked away. There are potential problems brewing in that direction.
The Boon – Positive influences, higher guidance, or divine intervention.
Five of Wands and Ace of Hearts – When others have good intentions at heart, make sure to remember that just because you may not agree with what they say or their methods, it doesn’t mean that they’re not trying to help and don’t care about you.
The Wound – An unpleasant past experience or event that is ripe for some support and healing.
Nine of Pentacles Rx and Two of Hearts – This is in reference to trusting people that turn around and let you down. Sometimes you find a connection with someone, and it feels like it’s just right, and then something happens that feels like it tears down everything that you’ve worked for all in one blow. Now is a good time to focus on healing from these experiences. Look at those times when this has happened in your life, and see if you can let go of some of the hurt and residual pain that resides there.
Nostalgia – A positive past experience or event to acknowledge, reflect upon, and enjoy.
Six of Wands and Four of Diamonds – It’s not always a bad thing to feel good when people praise you. That positive feeling that the praise from others provides can be nice, as long as it’s not something that you become dependent on for feelings of stability to thrive.
A Warning – Something coming that can be prevented or overcome.
Five of Pentacles and Nine of Hearts – Feelings of scarcity, whether real or imagined, have a habit of rising up at this time of year. Be sure that you are leaning into appreciating those things that are making you happy and seeing the value in them, instead of allowing yourself to fall prey to the rise of scarcity’s theme trying to inject itself back into your life and your mind.
Empowerment – A future opportunity to work toward.
Wheel of Fortune and Queen of Spades – Make sure you are paying attention to your reactions to stress and change. You are going to be given an opportunity to turn this around into something better, but you need awareness in this area to do so.
Message from the Spirit World – Sometimes when you’re unhappy with how things are and you want to make them better, you have to actually fight for the changes that you want to see and stand strong against the resistance that may rise up in others as a result. Complacency is not always something that makes life easier.
Message from the Mind’s World – Change can breed uncertainty and steal your confidence. Make sure at these times that you lean into keeping your boundaries in place and communicate with others on what you need to help keep things invigorated and moving forward smoothly.
Message from the Physical World – Those that care about you are working hard to convince you to take a rest and do what you need to do to create stability in your body. Physically, you’re not at your best right now, and you need to take their advice and do those things you know are needed to rectify the situation. Stop being a stubborn ass.

Weekly Creativity Prompt – Adrian’s Adventure
Prompt: “Draw (at least) three cards, and use them to tell us a story about a farm with talking animals.”
Adrian Goat was a happy creature all the days of his life. He bounded and bounced around in his pen, climbed and played with the toys, and ate good food every day (The Sun).
One day the farmer left the gate unlatched though, and Adrian became curious. Tempted by the outside world (The Devil), he went against the warnings of Mother Spider and Brother Pig and squeezed through the opening (The Chariot).
He wandered off into the woods (The Fool), and soon found himself all alone as the sky began to darken.
Scared and alone, he could hear rustling in the trees, and he bleated fearfully instead of calling out for help, at a loss for words in the face of his first encounter with true fear (The Moon).
Remembering all the stories that the other animals had told him about wolves and bears with sharp teeth and claws, as the sounds came closer and closer he was terrified of what might jump out at him at any moment (Wheel of Fortune).
When the leaves right before Adrian Goat rustled, he shouted his fear and turned to run, dashing back through the trees and back into his pen, using his teeth to close the gate behind him. No longer curious or eager for adventure in the outside world, he was now very happy for his safe, comfortable pen (The Hanged Man).
In the woods, Brother Dog and Alfred Horse chuckled to each other as they emerged into the clearing that Adrian Goat had left behind. Chatting quietly with each other as they returned to the farm at a leisurely pace, assured that Adrian Goat had learned his lesson (The Hierophant) and would stray no more.
