Year Ahead Spread for Divination

This reading is simply a brief exploration of the current trajectory of my path and energy for the year ahead. Like all predictive readings, nothing here is written in stone, it’s more of a look ahead just to have an idea of what to anticipate and what to work at avoiding.

As an experiment, I have decided to do my year ahead reading a little differently this year. In January I pulled cards for the first six months of the year.  Today, I am revisiting the spread to pull cards for the last six months of the year, three of those months I will then interpret now, while the last three months of the year I will interpret at the beginning of October. I feel that this might help in ensuring a more accurate reading for the second half of the year.

Six Month Ahead Spread for Divination - Part 2 - July through December

2021’s Theme – Justice – This card is calculated through mathematics, and is not drawn randomly.  My card for 2021 is the Justice card, with the theme of having to acknowledge that what you put out into the world and what you do in your life reflects back to you in turn.  Good begets good, bad begets bad.  Following that inner moral compass will be especially important this year and possible a bit of a challenge.

Miracle Tarot and Nature & Soul Yoga Wisdom Cards

Here and Now, I Am – Three of Pentacles, Camel (Fortitude) – I’m in a place at this time where I am coming to grasp just how much stronger I am when others are there to collaborate with me rather than doing it all on my own. This is not just about work but also about my personal life and my spirituality. I’m grateful for having introduced Gideon into my beliefs and practices and for his participation and input.

Leaving Behind – The Star, Fish (Flexibility) – I’ve left behind a touch of my trust and my ability to be open and easy with the unfamiliar. My hope is still there but has been tarnished, my flexibility is still present but not as forgiving.

Focus Forward – The Empress, Mountain (Transcendence) – It’s important to move into the month ahead with it sense of nurturing and a focus upon moving forward in your path and towards your spiritual goals. Don’t lose track of what is really important. Don’t forget to take care of yourself along the way.

Negative Influences – The Moon, Dancer (Connection) – Uncertainty is a growth killer. Don’t let this recent incident keep you from reaching out to and connecting with others. Not everybody is a bad apple how to get you.

Positive Influences – Queen of Wands, Crocodile (Adaptability) – Remember that you were highly adaptable and able to shift your path that will depending on what you want. You weren’t stuck in a rut and you have plenty of space to grow and move and change.

Relevant Shadows – Ace of Cups, Scorpion (Rebirth) – You could’ve allowed yourself to be really hurt by this recent misstep in trust. Instead of lashing out or allowing negative emotions to take over, you restored balance through cleansing and renewal. This is still going to need a bit more work, but you’re on the right path.

Lift From The Past  – Three of Swords, Cat (Intuition) – Again and again your intuition has guided you through times that could be harmful or disappointing or hurtful to you, and yet to follow your intuition you are able to bypass most or all of the pain in those situations. This is a reminder that you need to listen to your intuition and not ignore or set aside what it saying.

Future Event to Prevent or Overcome – The Hanged Man Rx, Star (Inspiration) – Here again we see a warning about a closed-minded influence approaching. Their approach may come under the guise of what seems like a great idea. Make sure you’re paying attention and looking beneath the surface.

Approaching Opportunity – Strength, Lizard (Dreams) – Trust in yourself and your dreams. Even as much strength as you’re aware of having, there is more in the bucket that you’re not aware of yet. You can use that strength to obtain the dreams that you desire if you trust yourself enough to actually reach for them instead of just dreaming about them.

Message from the Spirit World – When your mind is closed and you focus too deeply inward, you miss opportunities and lose the ability to adapt to the changes in the world around you.  In order to follow your dreams, it’s important to stay open and depend on your inner strength to protect you as you develop and grow through your inspiration.  Don’t close yourself off.

Message from the Subconscious – Similar message to what was just written above, but the goal is not following your inspiration but about making sure that you are taking care of yourself along your life’s path. Stay open to optimism and positivity.  Allow it in, and allow it to wash over you.  Allow others to help you in your journey and have faith that if you take care of yourself and stay on the path you’ve chosen, that things will work out.

Message from the Known World – Disappointment and confusion is a part of life and it’s okay to feel lost and off course now and then. At those times, you need to reach out to others and allow them to help guide you back, refresh your enthusiasm for your path and for life, and your intuition will reawaken as you find your balance once more.

Linescape Tarot and Metaphoric Therapy Cards

Individuality – Seven of Pentacles – It can often be difficult to remember that others do not judge you as harshly as you judge yourself.  You’ve come a long way in your growth and in grounding yourself in this knowledge, but you also still have a long way to go.  No one is staring at you.  Promise.  They want to accept you and love you, just as you are.

Dependence – High Priestess – Let go of the chaos and your intuition will become better grounded. All that anxiety is like a tornado turning your world upside down and making it hard to find the balance and stability needed for your intuitive self to grow and thrive.

Creativity – Ace of Swords atop Five of Cups – Overcoming hopelessness with new ideas is something you excel at and need to lean into moving forward.  Don’t linger in the disappointments, sadness, and negativity.  Instead pull yourself free with the “fresh air breeze” of new ideas and allow them to lift you up into a new path when needed.

Limitation – Emperor – It can be hard to relate to people in power sometimes. Sometimes they display behavior that has been trained into them, like police or border agents being overly aggressive without provocation. Keep in mind that these types of behavior are not a reflection on you or anything that you are doing, but rather a tactic meant to put you on edge.  Stay calm and rise above.

Change – Two of Swords – Pay attention and listen closely.  Opportunities to allow your passions to thrive are coming, and it may feel like their out of reach but they’re not.  It will simply take some careful listening, creative thinking, and a bit of discernment and decisive decision making to get you where you want to go.

Sympathy – Seven of Swords – Family betrayals. Broken promises and broken trusts have created in you a feeling of distrust and entanglement that is primed to rise to the surface and needs some attention to get under control. You’ve made a good deal of progress in making peace with your father and your past in this area, but it doesn’t really cover the whole “family” aspect of the thing, does it?

Luck – The Fool – Use the joy and bolstering sense of elation that comes with your accomplishments to lift you up and give you fresh eyes and fresh energy.  You have a lot to be grateful for and a lot to be proud of.  Don’t discount these things just because it’s you that has earned them and not someone else.

Power – Four of Pentacles – Having your wings clipped is painful and it can ground you when you’d be far happier taking flight.  Be careful that you don’t create a situation where you are left feeling alone and hurt because you clipped your own wings and grounded yourself to the point that grounding is no longer a boon, but instead becomes a trap.

Responsibility – Empress – Don’t leave anyone behind.  Sometimes we get so distracted in one thing that we end up losing focus on other things.  This is true about people, about projects, interests, and even physical items. You’re being given an opportunity to find a balance that spreads your nurturing in an even and healthy way. Make sure that you continue to keep this goal in mind moving forward.

Message from Spirit World – From gray days of suppression, discomfort, and what seems like insurmountable barriers, you’ve done well at trusting your instincts and seeking out what suits you best in life. Make sure that you do not lose sight of these things moving forward.  There is a place for the things you feel are important in the balance you seek.  Just don’t forget what those things are along the way.

Take care not to let these struggles and imbalances drag you down. Instead, continue to seek new ways to deal with them and mitigate their negative influences.

This reading is simply a brief exploration of the current trajectory of my path and energy for the year ahead. Like all predictive readings, nothing here is written in stone, it’s more of a look ahead just to have an idea of what to anticipate and what to work at avoiding.

As an experiment, I have decided to do my year ahead reading a little differently this year. In January I pulled cards for the first six months of the year and interpreted the cards for January thru March. I am then interpreting the second three months today.  I will then revisit the spread at the end of June to do the following six months. Six Month Ahead Spread - Brady Tarot, Tree Whisper Oracle, Magickal Herb Oracle

April’s Theme – Strength – Like spring slowly builds into summer, as you head through April your own strengths will slowly continue to build.

April’s Focus / Advice – Healing –  During this time, make sure that you are focusing on the last vestiges of your recovery. Allow your strength to build instead of trying to tap into it and utilize it before it’s leveled off.

April’s Ray of Hope – Bilberry (Clarity) – The more and more you approach full recovery, the brighter your thoughts will be and the clearer your mind will become. The fog lifts a little at a time, and each day you can see a little clearer than the day before.

May’s Theme – Father of Horns (Cups) – Finding your footing is the theme of this month.  After the slippery slide down into the pit of depression and the long, slow climb back out, you’re finally at a place where you will feel as if you’ve found your footing emotionally and are on solid ground.

May’s Focus / Advice – Beyond – Now is a good time to look forward and start putting plans into action to build what you want to come into fruition in the future. You’ve held off long enough to allow yourself time to recover, and with solid ground once more under your feet, you are able to now begin striding forward in these matters.  Step out of the planning stages.

May’s Ray of Hope – Echinacea (Protection) – You are looked after and protected. Put a little more trust into the universe and your guides.  Allow Gideon to worry over you and your loved ones to take care of you in their own unique and preferred ways.  This blessing is here to lift you up, keep you protected, and give you the help you need to keep you safe as you begin to move forward into new frontiers this month.

June’s Theme – The Sun – With summer upon us it will be time to have a little fun this month. Don’t hibernate or hide indoors.  The temperatures are comfortable enough to enjoy some time outside, so take advantage of that to its fullest.

June’s Focus / Advice – Innocence – The seeds begun in May will have the chance to grow and flourish, and without putting in so much work that you have to feel “put upon” or “stuck” in the process. Don’t make this growth a chore.  Instead, have some fun and let more serious matters and endeavors develop at their own pace.

June’s Ray of Hope – Yerba mate (Activation) – You set the ball rolling on the projects and goals you wanted to get started.  Let the ball roll.  It’s going to carry itself for the most part this month.  You don’t have to babysit it every step and millimeter of the way.
