Meadow Giggles

Bright yellow
greetings
spot the green
with open invitations
to lie down
among the blades
and listen
to the whispers
of gossiping flowers
before winds of change
lift delicate
eager tufts
to float away

to warm the air
as softened earth

to wait
patient and still
but instead eager

on the back
of a

while the faint
ghosts of jellyfish
