Daily Mental Health Prompt: Seek a positive message to carry with you throughout the day and offer perspective.

Before Tarot - Queen of Wands

Today’s draw is the Queen of Wands, which is traditionally a representation of a receptive alpha energy, personality, or person in the area of one’s passion, drive, willpower, determination, values, and principles. This often translates into themes that have to do with being supportive of others projects and passions, or searching for inner truth within your own values and principles.

The Queen of Wands has then been combined with an affirmation from the Pass Around the Smile Positive Guidance Cards, which says, “Congratulations. Something exciting is coming, and you deserve it!”

You experience more enjoyment in life when you expect more enjoyment out of life. If you’re always stuck, expecting the worst, you end up losing out on the good stuff that could’ve happened because you were too focused on what might.

When we bring enthusiasm into our lives, it helps lighten our experience of life as a whole. In this way, our expectations helped to mold our reality.

The message in today’s cards is a reminder to create the reality that you want to experience by anticipating the arrival of good things to come with eager enthusiasm. This doesn’t mean you can sit on your ass and just expect things to fall in your lap, but it makes the hard work you need to do along the way far more enjoyable.

Tarot Reading with the Diary of a Broken Soul Tarot and Show Me Cards

Show Me…

The Present – You are struggling under the weight of your responsibility towards others. Too many people look towards you in order to keep everything they value safe and alive. Better boundaries are needed, even if there’s a good deal of resistance when making them.

Show Me…

A Message from Spirit – This battle you are embarking on is too big to deal with on your own. Allow others to help you plot and strategize your way forward, and when it’s time to take cation, invite them to help carry the load.

Show Me…

Relationship Challenges – Your silence when you are feeling vulnerable isolatea you from others… and isolate them from you. Communication is extremely important in relationships, which you already know. Connect more during these times of vulnerability to strengthen your bonds with others.

Show Me…

Past Influences – Don’t allow your past experiences with betrayal to keep isolated and distrusting of everyone. Paranoia might feel like it keeps you safe, but it also keeps you distanced from others and the potential they may hold to improve your life as a whole.

Show Me…

What to Leave Behind – Leave behind the uncertainty of everything you don’t know or can’t grasp, and instead narrow your focus on what you deem truly important. By narrowing your focus, you can cut out those things that are tapping away your energy with little to no return. This will give you more energy for those things that you truly deem worth putting time and effort into.

Prompt No. 10 : What is one small change I could make this week that would help me feel like a healthier happier me?

Note: I had to rephrase this question because, as was established in an earlier reading this month, I need time to redefine what the phrase “feel like me” actually means.

Tarot Reading with the Before Tarot

Reading Summary: Allow others to help you choose (The Lovers and the fact one figure reaches to help the other up) positivity and optimism (The Star and her abundant pitchers) over cynicism and stagnancy (King of Pentacles Rx and his jaded, brooding expression).

Take Away: Today’s readings (and not just this one) are a reminder that you are not alone and you do not need to treat yourself as if you are.

Life’s experiences are better and brighter when you share them with others, allow them to help you, and invite them to come along with you on your journey instead of trying to do it all by yourself.

Look at the endeavors that matter to you and seek out ways to invite others in and encourage their participation. In doing so, you don’t just share the work load and stresses involved, but open yourself up to their influences, ideas, and support. That, in turn, helps make everything feel just a bit easier.

Dreamkeepers Tarot - Seven of Pentacles

Daily Mental Health Prompt: Seek a positive message to carry with you throughout the day and offer perspective.

Today’s draw is the Seven of Pentacles, which is traditionally a representation of slow growth, sustainability, domestic harmony, hard work, and practicing patience while the fruits of your labors develop and take form.

The Seven of Pentacles has then been combined with an affirmation from the Pass Around the Smile Positive Guidance Cards, which says, “Trust & Receive ~ Amazing work! Your persistence is paying off. Trust the process and expect to receive very soon.”

It’s extremely difficult not to lose hope when something that you’re invested feels like it’s taking forever.

Yes, there’s something to be said for patience. But, at the same time, patience can only take you so far before you start to lose hope. This is true whether it’s a goal you’re working towards, trauma you’re working through, or growth you’re trying to achieve.

This is where persistence comes into play, as well as trust. Persistence is the application of willpower alongside one’s patience. Combined with trust that the universe is going to allow you to get where you’re going eventually, it is a powerful tool in achieving one’s long-term goals and aspirations.

The message in today’s cards is a reminder that there is more to moving forward than active participation or tight gripped control. Sometimes persistence is required… as well as trust that you will get there when the timing is right and not before then.

Tarot Reading with the Alchemist's Garden Tarot and Stay Wild Timing Oracle

Identity: What truth about my identity is becoming clearer?

Root of Pentacles and New Moon – You don’t like that you’re beginning to grow a greater tolerance for insincerity and lack of integrity. You don’t want this to become “the new normal” for you and who you are, and you worry that this newfound tolerance will be the beginning of a change that will move you in that direction.

Patience: Where can I practice more patience with myself?

Wheel of Fortune and Autumn – (The cards pulled here chose to expand on the previous question, connecting them together.)

Remember that it is perfectly okay to say “not my circus, not my monkeys”.

If it doesn’t have anything to do with you, there’s no reason to make it have anything to do with you. Get involved in the things that you want to be involved in, and sit out the ones that you don’t. This isn’t a show of a new type of tolerance, but rather a stronger sense of discernment.

Other elements included in this reading:
Staghorn Sumac for Connecting with Nature and the Wild Within
Foraged Parmeliaceae Lichen for a “Breath of Fresh Air”
Scotch Pine Cone for Purging Negative Influences
Orange Aventurine Leaves for Pause and Reflection
Selenite for Purification and drawing in Positive Energy

DECK USED: THE ALCHEMIST’S TAROT AND STAY WILD TIMING ORACLE

@silkandsonder’s Journal Prompts to Feel Like Yourself Again
Prompt No. 6 : When do I feel the most confident or clear-headed during the day?

Tarot Reading with the Dreamkeepers Tarot

Reading Summary: When you are able to sustain a sense of hope and optimism (The Star), this allows you to bend your trajectory (Strength) in a direction that results in happier outcomes (Ten of Cups).

Take Away: Your mental fog and lack of confidence are a direct result of your negative inner narratives, and the negativity and pessimism they instill within your mind, which then bleeds into your emotions and perceptions of the world around you.

The result of this is that it is when you are keeping up on your practices that help combat your negative inner voice, this is when you are the most clear headed and confident. Thus, the “when” of this question is not a specific time of day, but has more to do with what things you do within your day to create space for hope, optimism, and positivity to hold sway.

When you give these qualities space in your life, you do more than just lighten the load of your anxiety and stress, but create a space for a clearer mind in which your confidence can also flourish.

Foraged Oak Branch with Moss and Lichen for Perseverance
Carved Bamboo Latticework for Positive Outcomes
Clear Quartz for fostering Greater Mental Clarity

Daily Mental Health Prompt: Seek a positive message to carry with you throughout the day and offer perspective.

The Gay Marseille Tarot - The Empress Card

Today’s draw is The Empress card, which is traditionally a representation of a nurturing energy of strength and empowerment without losing that “softer side” in the process, abundance, fertility, the divine feminine, and Mother Earth.

The Empress has then been combined with an affirmation from the Pass Around The Smile Positive Guidance Cards, which says, “Choose. You choose how you feel, react, and perceive everything in your life. Choose to only see through love and positivity.”

That is, essentially what this Card of the Day exercise is all about. Positivity and optimism. Seeing life through a lighter lens than the one pessimism puts in front of my gaze every single day.

I may not be able to change the glasses entirely to completely see life in another perspective, but I can at least help lighten things a little bit so that enjoying life isn’t quite as much of a struggle.

The message in today’s cards is a reminder that it is love and laughter that provides us with the greatest and healthiest possible positive influences we can tap into. Remember to add these things to your life wherever you can, and it will help you lighten up the darkness just a little bit each day.

: Do the Interrobang Spring Spread

Welcome Spring Tarot Reading with the Ronda Tarot

This spread goes from bottom to top. We begin in the underground, with death and decay.

Death/Passage: What died for me in the past season?

Two of Cups – You don’t feel like you’re getting the help, support, and connection that you need from those around you, and you’re not sure if this is because you’re not giving what you need to in order to get what you need, or if something else has somehow changed the flow between you and others which is now hindering things.

Decay/Fertilizer: How does that passage fertilize what comes next?

The Hierophant – It opens up the opportunity for you to examine more closely how things have always been, and consider if you are being too rigid and there are changes that need to be made.

Next, we consider the perennial, and turn our attention to any old growth due to renew.

The Perennial (Rebirth/Renewal): What renews or rekindles for me now?

The Moon – Spring always brings with it a certain level of uncertainty. This is because business slows down at this time of year. Add to that the extra amount of uncertainty currently going on with your business and career path, and it’s no surprise that you are feeling fearful and jumping at shadows at this time.

To Tend & Cultivate: How can I best greet and tend to it?

Two of Swords Rx – It’s not about getting rid of your fear and uncertainty, but rather sitting with it and allowing it to linger so that you can understand it more before making decisions on where to go from here and what actions need to come next.

Finally, we look above ground to consider the annuals, the unplanted seeds, and our garden plans.

The Annual (New Growth/Seed): What do I plant next or start afresh?

Eight of Pentacles – Don’t allow these feelings of uncertainty to cause you to doubt your long-developed skills and abilities. Remember that some things are just simply not within your control, no matter how much you want them to be.

To Plot & Plan: How can I best prepare to make sure that it thrives?

Ace of Pentacles – Try new things, and keep an eye out for opportunities for growth. Remember that the Hierophant (above) said that you may need to shake things up a bit.

Tarot Reading with The Gay Marseille Tarot

Sun conjunct Neptune: How can I deepen my spiritual or personal practice?

Five of Wands Rx and The Fool – Don’t worry so much about what other people may be saying or thinking. Their opinions have no place or weight in how you do your own practice.

It’s all well and good to listen to their opinions, and take into consideration their beliefs and ideas. Just make sure to forge forth and allow yourself to find your own way, as you always have before.

Context: “Weekend warriors” of the cultural appropriation variety freak me the fuck out.

Spiritual: How can I reconnect with my inner compass and find direction?

Queen of Wands and Knight of Swords – Put enthusiasm into fostering your passion for learning new things. Fall down more rabbit holes, and collect more knowledge.
