Reconnecting with Love and Trust

Today’s meditation was a twelve minute long self-guided visualization session while listening to Tony Ann’s orchestra version of ICARUS on loop.

Daily Mental Health Prompt: Seek a positive message to carry with you throughout the day and offer perspective.

The Fairy Tarots - Six of Cups and Rumi Quotes Lobilat Cards

Today’s draw is the Six of Cups, which is traditionally a representation of nostalgia, joyful memories, childhood experiences, and revisiting the past in some way.

The Six of Cups has then been combined with an affirmation card from the LOBILAT Rumi Quote Cards, which says, “Your heart is the size of an ocean. Go find yourself in its hidden depths.”

Love comes naturally to children. With their innocence and their open hearts, it’s easy to love, and to seek out love as well. It’s only with age that experience begins to create barriers in place of openness.

As age and experience step in, we begin to see innocence as dangerous naïveté, and something to be shut down. With each hurt we harden more, trust less, and as a result become far less open to love… to the point where even loving ourselves can sometimes become difficult.

The message in today’s Six of Cups and affirmation card is an encouragement to open yourself up to love more. Those safeguards we learned when we were growing up restrict us from finding the happiness we seek in adulthood. These cards remind us that it is important to connect with this softer side of ourselves, as we can only connect in love and trust with others once we’ve connected with ourselves in this way.

Tarot Reading with the Florana Tarot and An Invitation to Forest Bathing Cards

In what area are you not practicing enough self-care?

Knight of Cups and Texture Walk

You are not spending enough time sitting with your emotions, which is meant to allow you to examine them more closely and get to know them better. Instead, you are trying to experience them quickly and get them “over with”.

In order to better understand your emotions and yourself, you need to have patience when you sit with your emotions instead of trying to push past them too quickly.

How can you improve upon your self-care at this time?

Ace of Cups atop Knight of Wands; Nature’s Movements atop Rooted to the Earth

Be eager to explore your emotions instead of simply rushing through them.

Remember that even trees move. There is no stagnancy, even while you were sitting with your emotions and exploring them. Keep moving. Stagnancy is not your friend, as both learning and healing require the circulation of fresh air and movement to accomplish.

: What this season is teaching me

Tarot Reading with The Fairy Tarots

Reading Summary: The biggest obstacle (center card) to your own happiness (The Lovers and Two of Pentacles) is your own negative self talk (Five of Cups).

Take Away: This season is teaching you that nothing and no one holds you back as much as you hold yourself back.

Listening to negative inner narratives and allowing your pessimistic nature to have free reign has the result of setting everything off balance and creating additional problems and obstacles in the way of connecting with those things that really “fit” for you.

When you aren’t actively counterbalancing these negative inclinations, they cake over. Thus why even when you are feeling discouraged, it’s important to reach for those positive and optimistic perspectives to help keep things on an even keel.

Other elements included in this reading:
Dried Lavender Bundle for Calming and Comfort
Pressed Pansy Flowers for Hearing the Heart More Clearly
Rose Quartz for Gentle Kindness to Self and Others
Desert Rose for Purification and drawing in Positive Energy

Finding the Positive for August 4 – 6

Cute Chibi Tarot, Dream within Dreams Tarot, Florana Tarot, and Thera-Pets Emotional Support Animal Cards

August 4

Today’s meditation was done during severe panic attack. The affirmation on this card is an excellent one for when I am caught in a depressive episode and/or struggling with . I’m not in that place right now, but I think the reminder still helps in keeping me from slipping closer to those places.

Four of Pentacles – Take care not to forget how fortunate you are to have to e stability in your life that you do, from the running of your business to having a stable home, to access to medication and medical care, those who love you, and the ability to indulge now and then. All of these things are pieces of stability in your life that you take pleasure and a sense of security from. Don’t take them for granted.

Today’s meditation was ten minutes long and was focused on an issue that I often struggle with. That is, feelings that all that I do is never enough. Logically, I know this isn’t true, and yet it is a shadow from my past that is always there.

The Emperor – Be the most responsible fuck you can possibly be today. For yourself… and for all those around you. Fitting as there was a lot to get don’t for the day, both for the business (order processing) as well as for Ms B.
