Questions for September 9th thru 12th – One With Nature

Dionysian Mysteries Challenge Lenormand Reading with the Emblemata Lenormand

Rapture – How can you open yourself to new experiences and insights?

Garden and Ring – Commit to opening yourself up to social interactions and spending time with others. Although what you feel like doing is retreating into alone time, you know that it’s only through interacting with others you can get the external influences you need.

Connection with Nature – How can you ground yourself and establish a deeper connection with nature?

Mountain and Fox – Be clever in dealing with the obstacles in your way so that they don’t overcome you and your efforts.  You may not be able to get into the woods and among the trees right now, but you can walk barefoot in the grass.

The Dionysian Feast – How can you bring more joy and playfulness into your life?

Cross and Lily – Take care not to see your time with your elders as a burden.  Have fun with it.  Yes, there’s a lot of responsibility involved, but there’s also a lot of joking and amusement.  Don’t lose sight of the fun that can be had by sinking too deep into the mentality of burden and obligation.

Liberation from Limitations – What fears or doubts are holding you back from being fully yourself?

Woman and Scythe – You fear that your softer and more open side will become a liability that gets you hurt or be seen as unappealing and leave you cut off and alone.

Mabon Oracle Reading Part 1 of 2

#DiscordTarotholicsSep2023 Tarot Challenge
Mabon Spread – Part 1 of 2

Mabon Oracle Reading with the Earthly Souls & Spirits Moon Oracle

Wolf: Bravery / Strength – How can I bolster my strength and bravery for hurdles yet to come?

Compassion – Cut yourself some slack. You have been up against a lot and need to be kinder and more understanding in how you treat yourself both physically and emotionally.

Owl: Trust / Knowledge – How can I learn to better trust my perception of the world and other people?

Clarity – Don’t allow your preconceptions to cloud your vision. Intuition is, of course, important… as are first impressions, but don’t let them be the end-all be-all of how you see people and the world. Stay open for new revelations.

Stag: Dignity / Integrity – Where in my life can greater dignity create a stronger sense of integrity?

Spontaneous – You don’t have to be unpredictable to be spontaneous from time to time.  By allowing yourself the structure and stability that is a part of your nature, spontaneity may come in different forms than for those that don’t value those qualities, but it still counts and will keep things fresh while still allowing you to stay true to yourself.

Eagle: Leadership / Grace – Why does good and successful leadership also require a modicum of grace?

Beautiful – People are drawn to those things that appeal to their sense of grace and beauty. It’s through those qualities that leaders draw people in, collecting others to follow them where they lead.  This makes charisma (which grace is absolutely a part of) an important quality that is needed for a good and successful leader.

Salmon: Movement / Instinct – In what direction have I been moving by instinct without realizing it?

Evolve – Your growth in the direction of the person you want to become continues, even when you are not diligently keeping an eye on your path and progress. You don’t need to keep an eye on things every moment, as long as you are being true to your nature, so that as you grow and evolve you continue to head in the right direction.

Wild Goose: Devotion / History – How can my past relationships and friendships taught me to be a better person?

Faith – Your past relationships have helped to teach you to have more faith in yourself by showing you that you are stronger and more resilient than you realize.

Questions for September 5th thru 8th – The Dance of Life

Dionysian Mysteries Tarot Reading with the Golden Journey Tarot and Nature Lover's Oracle

The Sacrifice – What old habits or thought patterns do you need to sacrifice to promote spiritual growth?

Ten of Cups and Merganser Duck – Remember that happily ever after is not a destination, but instead it is found in small moments along the way. If you are always waiting to find happiness and achieve happiness as some distant ambition or goal, you are missing out on it because you are blinding yourself to its presence in the now and along your current journey.

The Mystery – What do you most desire in your life and how can you achieve it?

Two of Cups and Shooting Star – A harmonious connection with where we are both on the same page and feel secure in the knowledge that it’s working for both involved. This type of connection with others can only be achieved through acceptance of others flaws as well as your own. Perfection is only achieved when there are flaws.

The Masks – What parts of yourself do you hide from others?

The Hierophant Rx and Pearl – You work hard to hide from others the novice parts of yourself that are untried and vulnerable, keeping them carefully tucked away and protected from harm.

How can you harness your true self?

Nine of Cups and Air – By remembering that when you are feeling lax and chill in your sense of self satisfaction, it’s time to start moving again instead of becoming stagnant. Sinking into that feeling of satisfaction to the point you linger and wallow pulls you away from the spark of energy that helps you in staying in touch with and expressing your true self.

The Daze – Where do you find comfort and inspiration in times of chaos and confusion?

The Fool Rx and Amber – When times of chaos and confusion reign, you find comfort and inspiration in sinking into the things you know and revisiting the things you have done before. Being on unfamiliar ground just makes you feel more vulnerable during these times.

Weekly Creativity Prompt – Autumn’s Approach

Prompt: “Pull (at least) three cards and use them to describe how it feels for you as Autumn’s approach begins.

The Literary Tarot - Three of Parchment, Seven of Quills, Justice

Three of Parchment – Learning the value of teamwork has been a major theme over the last few weeks of the summer, and it feels as we move into the fall that the efforts are starting to pay off and we are working more as a cohesive unit, the burden spread more evenly over multiple sets of shoulders instead of only on yours and yours alone.

Seven of Quills – Although you know exactly how you got into the situation you’re currently in, you’re feeling a bit deceived.  Not by the people in your life, but by fate and circumstance.  It’s time to turn that around and be clever in finding solutions, though.  Don’t allow yourself to be walled off when you have the cunning and strategies available to you to put things on the right track.

Justice – What goes around comes around, or so they say.  You get what you give.  Remember that this experience in healing someone else is also providing you with a healing experience of your own.  This is a theme that is starting to come to light now that you are at the end-game of this time together, and something you weren’t aware of going into this situation in the first place.

All together now…

So much  has come to pass over the past few months that approaching Autumn has a very exhausted feel to it this time around (Justice).  That weight is starting to lift, though, through the help of others in your life (Three of Parchment), which has allowed for more time to begin working out a way out of your current situation that is best for everyone involved.

Moral of the Story

Freedom’s promise lies on the horizon.  I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, even if I can’t quite feel it on your face yet.

Questions for September 1st thru 4th – The Dance of Life

Dionysian Mysteries Challenge with The Early Riser's Lenormand

The Essence of Dionysus – Draw a card that gives you insight into the energy of Dionysus and how to welcome it into your life.

Stag and Bat (Man and Fox) – Dionysus connects with that part of you that is unpredictable and keeps people’s guessing. It is the joy in those moments that allows you to welcome this quality into your life, for it speaks of a bit of harmless mischievous fun.

The Vineyard – Which aspect of yourself must you let go of to make room for new growth?

Light (Cross) and Soul Family – Let go of the feeling that those you choose as family are a burden to you. See them in a better light than that. Yes, right now, you’re dealing with a lot of responsibility and it’s put a lot of weight on you, but work to make sure you don’t tilt into thoughts of them as a burden.

The Dance – How can you free yourself and express your inner passions?

Moon and Ship – Explore your emotions and allow them the freedom to be expressed openly. Instead of burying them or hiding them,  you need to delve in and take a closer look at them.  As they become more familiar, they will become easier and easier to express confidently in healthy ways.

Ecstasy – What makes your heart beat faster and your soul light up?

Birds and Jewels – Your time spent in play on the rp server, allowing you time to be with those important to you while feeling as if you are shining bright for all to see. Even when you aren’t playing but just chatting now and then with Gid and the friends that are there, it allows you a moment now and then to shine brighter from within… although that “heart beat faster” part is all for him and how special and important he makes you feel.

Weekly Creativity Prompt – The Devil

Prompt: “Pull the Death card from your deck(s). Compare the imagery between the card provided below and the card(s) from your own deck(s). How would you read them differently and why?

Modern Love Tarot - The Devil CardModern Love Tarot – Whips and chains and patent leather really leans into the sexual aspect of the Devil card, and I would normally interpret this card as being about those things you are curious about that might be considered risky or taboo.  Out of the four cards I’m interpreting in this exercise, it is the most likely card that I would interpret with sexual undertones, although not always… for it isn’t sex I think about when I look at this card, but the thrill of anticipation when trying something new and/or dangerous.

The Devil Card - Midnight Magic Tarot, Margarete Petersen Tarot, and The Mind's Eye Tarot

Midnight Magic Tarot – Hypomyces lactifluorum is a parasidic fungus that takes over the fruiting bodies of other nearby mushrooms.  In this card I see the potential for addiction. Not just in reference to drugs or alcohol, but to anything that can provide one the dopamine our brains crave.  Sugar, cookies, praise, kisses, driving too fast… the list is endless.  What in your life has the potential to take over if you don’t keep it in check?  What can you do to help keep these things in check so that they don’t take over and possibly change your life in negative ways?

Margarete Petersen Tarot – Eyes gaze upon  you through the sharp angles of judgement as open wounds fill the frame and chaos reigns.  In the grip of obsession and addiction, it doesn’t matter how deep the knife cuts… as long as you get what you crave.  The imagery in this card speaks to me of wounds, self judgements, and that savage need that grips one’s insides when addiction is upon us.  Where in life are you sacrificing pieces of yourself for something that’s slowly starting to take over or sabotage what you once held dear?

The Mind’s Eye Tarot – Again we see eyes watching on and a theme of red.  Red is the color of passion, anger, lust, and blood. It’s the color of obsession and the color of gaping wounds.  The figure in this card seems indifferent in both her posture and demeanor. Combined with the eyes and the overwhelming red of the card’s coloring, what I see her is a question about what you are ignoring.  What bad habits or shadow behavior needs dealt with instead of turning your back upon it and pretending it doesn’t exist?
