I miss the crunch
of stone and sand
underfoot
at the water’s edge
as the tides
reveal pools
filled with
shells and crabs
while clouds
float
over high hills
and mountain peaks
in the distance
while scents
of fresh crisp air
fill my lungs
and clear away
the cobwebs of life
Gideon’s Challenge
Gideon’s Challenge
Gideon’s Challenge
A long drive
with a bladder
entirely
too full
and when the
ferry loads
relief holds sway
as getting out
to stretch
is key
and we start
to look
for bathrooms…
not just for me
and when its
finally my turn
and the lock engaged
I find this box
on the wall
in easy reach
waiting
I have
so many questions
