Tarot of the Hidden Realm – Eyes open and body relaxed, he hangs inverted and sees the world from this vantage point. As the green grows up around him, coiling in his hair, a butterfly comes to whisper secrets for him to hear. In this imagery I see patience, but also a hint of determination in his features. He does not hang for the heck of it, but with purpose. He is a seeker, and he wants to see this alternate view. Thus, I would see this card as an encouragement to actively seek out new perspectives.
The Stormlight Archive Tarot – In this card the figure is bound by one wrist, pierced by an arrow, and run through by many blades, one of which also pierces through his free hand. He hangs with his head bowed, brought to a knee in his pain, bound through not just ropes or twine, but by punishing pain as well. As the Hanged Man, this card reminds me that the world looks different to everyone. Chronic pain, pessimism, punishment, or misfortune can all create a skewed view of reality. A skewed view we then carry with us as we move through life. I see this card as a reminder that we must pull out the (metaphorical) blades that keep our past wounds open and raw so that we can heal and begin to rise, straighten from our kneel, and see the world from a better perspective.
Darkened Dreams Tarot – In the imagery of this card we see a figure that ascends as if defying gravity, their wrist anchored to a barren tree as they are pulled upward, defying gravity. This imagery speaks to me of astral projection while the colors of the card speak to me of enlightenment. As the body is anchored to a tree, it makes me wonder if it is not the tree’s soul that floats above, seeking new adventures and perspectives that it cannot experience when rooted to the ground. I see this card as an encouragement to explore and try new things, seek out new experiences and allow them to expand one’s perception of the world.
The Kitchen Tarot – In this deck, the Hanged One is named the Kitchen Timer with the added input of the words “miracle worker” etched into the arms of the chef with their third eye open and the other two eyes closed. There is something to be said for the old adage “time heals all wounds” and, in a way, this is true…. -if- you are willing to be open to the healing that time offers us. I would see this card as an encouragement to wait. To wait and to watch, and to keep an open mind. Allow yourself to move past your own first impressions, and look deeper.
Today’s meditation was just over twelve minutes long, and was another quiet meditations where I just use breathing exercises and the chime for the piriformis stretching.
Today’s draw is the Page of Cups, which is traditionally a representation of a receptive omega energy, personality, or person in the area of one’s emotions, relationships, creativity, and intuition.
In the imagery of the Page of Cups in this deck, even as the sun sets and darkness creeps in, the figure looks at the cup that they hold with a sense of wonder that lights up the encroaching darkness. This speaks of how creativity and wonder can make the world and life seem much brighter and far less scary.
Today’s message is an encouragement to instill creativity and imagination into your day today, because when you look at the world with wonder, nothing seems quite so dark.

What inspires my creativity?

What are my creative dreams?
Middle Row – That skills learned in secret will earn you admiration and money is one of the most significant creative dreams you have. For it is in earning this admiration and money that you then find a way to support yourself through those creative endeavors that you enjoy.
What am I passionate about?
Bottom Row Left – Friendship and the connection, guidance, understanding, and open-mindedness that I feel need to be a part of friendship are all things that I am passionate about. People’s differences, and finding people that you can connect with in spite of those differences is important to me
Bottom Row Center – Fairness and balance. My moral compass requires fairness. I am aware that life is not fair, and yet I cannot help that I feel a need for it and expect it regardless of how many times I might be disappointed by not finding it. I crave the balance that fairness creates and reach for it again and again.
Bottom Row Right – Knowledge. Knowing yourself and knowing others. Gathering useful knowledge and applying it in one’s life. When we continue to learn and explore, we continue to grow. I feel that this is an important part of life and, at least for me, something needed to be happy with myself and the world around me.

What needs more exposure in your life?
Four of Cups – Do your meditation. Do your meditation. Do your meditation.
The Emperor – Buckle down to get the things done that need doing. You’ll need help, but you have the help you need. They’re more than happy to step in. So start getting these things done and delegating as needed.
What needs less?
Ten of Cups – Don’t focus so hard on where you are going. You need to enjoy the present.
Ace of Swords – New ideas need to be set on the back burner for a while. You have enough on your plate and don’t need to add more at the moment. Deal with what already needs worked on for now.
I didn’t really want to because I really wanted more time with Gid today, but I took a nap. I needed it, I just didn’t really -want- to do it. And look! I did meditation two days in a row!

Tree and Heart – Be kind to your body and treat your heart well. Your body needs certain nutrients and emotional support in order to feel at its best. Make sure that you aren’t neglecting these needs.

Tower and Key – Take some time to do a personal reading and some reflection upon what’s coming on the horizon. This will allow you some early warnings, and give you some time in which to prepare.

The “Benzene Dream” is the true story of a scientists (that I can’t remember the name of) in the 19th century working on mapping out the particles of Benzene and getting stumped in the process, then coming to the solution in a dream about an ouroboros and waking up with the answer that had been alluding him.
The story that the imagery in this card speaks of is a reminder that we know far more than we realize. Our brains are always working, and sometimes we are able to access this information easily, while other times it is a mystery that requires meditation, sleep, dreams, intuition, or other tools to suss out from the depths what we need.
The message in today’s card is encouragement to never be afraid to say “I don’t know”, for it is in that phrase that curiosity and mystery lives… and in turn, gives us the opportunity to explore, delve deeper, expand our horizons, and learn more.

What am I guided to nurture {instead of trying to control}?
Eight of Wands atop Two of Cups, Star Anise – Dive into the bonds that you have with those that you connect well with, and don’t worry so much about the ones you don’t. There’s truth in the saying that you can’t please everybody all the time, so focus on nurturing relationships with those that hold similar values and compatibilities. Doing so will help foster a feeling of good fortune in your life.
This falls into understanding that you have what (and who) you need in your life if you are only willing to pay attention, acknowledge, and appreciate what you already have instead of constantly reaching for more.
How can I embody that which I am passionate about?
Nine of Cups and Queen of Potions – Again we see a message about what is already in your possession, as well as the potential for emotional satisfaction if we delve into these things and explore them more in depth. There is no need for expansion if you choose to go deeper instead.
In what area/way can a nurturing approach enrich my life?
Five of Cups and Clove – [Okay so this reading has officially become extremely redundant, which I can only assume means that I really need to hear this message right now.]
The cards here are a reminder to not take for grated the stability that you have created in your life. No amount of stability and security is ever going to be “enough” until you can find peace and appreciation with what you currently have.

Sidewalk Egg Frying Day – What in your life is too hot to handle right now and you need to give it some space.
Reading Summary: Listen to your heart when making decisions (Seven of Cups) and plotting your course forward (Two of Wands) in order to find a healthy and harmonious balance (The Lovers).
Take Away: Stop leaning so damned heavily into logic. Leaning into logic is all well and good and definitely has its place, but there’s a lot to be said for instinct, intuition, and listening to your heart as well.
All of these have input to offer, and none of them should be ignored when deciding on where to direct your feet upon your life’s chosen path.
