The shed roof
is soft with moss
and damp
with winter rain
so that when
you sit upon it
you are soon
cold and
soaked thru
to the skin
yet who can resist

settled in peace

Overnight Flurries
Like down feathers
little crystals
build to fluff
soft and light
the delicate weight
settles
and turns
the world
pristine
for a short breath
until life
moves on
once again
with the dawn
of a new day

slide by
and the city
