Saying Goodbye

Today’s meditation was skipped. In fact my entire day and routine has gone to shit.

Gnostic Tarot and How to Be a Wildflower DeckToday’s draw is the Six of Air (Swords), which is traditionally a representation of leaving behind what is unhealthy and isn’t working in order to seek out something better on the horizon.

Today I am grieving for someone I considered in many ways more of a father to me than my own passed away. There was time for a quick FaceTime call to say goodbye, and the imagery in this card mimics the sight of him in his hospital bed, in the angle of the body, the tilt of his head… etc.

These cards are a message of reassurance. They speak of him leaving on his own terms. That he was ready, and it was time.

Questions for November 19th: What is…

Gnostic TarotBlocking My Way

Three of Fire – Hesitation. Yourself. Not “everyone” is on board. Within the shadow of the self there lies resistance to moving forward.

Distracting My Attention

The Fool – You want to fuck around instead of buckling down. This longing for something more carefree and less responsible is new for you and keeps tugging your focus off of your goals.

Tying My Hands

Man / Hero of Air – Impulsivity. When you impulsively follow the fool’s lead, you decrease your options by wasting time chasing windmills.

Daily Self Kindness

I made sure to keep up with my eating today, regardless of the fact I want hungry.

There’s More

Today’s meditation was skipped once again. The bank adventure continues and is frustrating as hell. I swear I am trying to be nice about it.

Fantastical Tarot and How to Be a Wildflower Deck

Today’s draw is the Seven of Cups, which is traditionally a representation of having an abundance of choices, which can be seen as a boon, but can also bring about feelings of inner struggle and overwhelm.

The phrase “you will see wonders” in today’s affirmation card, combined with the couple on the horse riding over the bridge in the Seven of Cups, speak to me of looking beyond the opportunities and options that are in front of your nose. Seek more.

The message in today’s cards is a reminder to keep an open mind and stay flexible. You’re missing out on the good stuff by focusing too hard on what you think are your only options.

What truth do I need to be reminded of?
Entitled Prince and Eight of Wands

Patience is a virtue and immediate gratification is not a theme in your life, no matter how much you want it to be. Continue to work at being kind, and try not to push too hard on others who are just trying to help.

How can I positively embrace and build on this truth?
Crossing the Threshold atop Romantic, Eight of Swords atop The Tower Rx

It’s not the end of the world, just a stumbling block on your path. Continue to use your words and kindness to sway people in your favor and, in turn, get them to work harder for you than they would if you approached with bluster.

The Slavic Oracle and Fantastical Tarot

Advice I need to hear at this time concerning my work life.

Fertility and The Star – Look forward with eagerness and hope, because now is the time for growth. Don’t worry so much about the shit that’s going wrong, for they are only small pebbles on the path forward. They won’t hinder your growth in the least.

What do I need to focus on for self-care for this full moon?

Harvest and Ace of Pentacles – Now is the time when businesses in the red slide into the black, and your business needs this boon as well. Focus on what needs to be done to keep your business running smoothly and pulling all that new money in that you depend on the season to bring. The more you manage to bring in at this time of year, the easier and happier the majority of the year ahead will be.

Lunar Eclipse in Taurus – November 2021

Tomorrow is not just the Full Moon, but there is also a Lunar Eclipse!  In celebration of that upcoming event, I decided to do a reading geared towards the eclipse and the energies surrounding it. This spread is brought to you by Ethony‘s Tarot By the Moon series.

Lunar Eclipse in Taurus - Surrealist Tarot

1. What do my guides want me to know during this time?

The Wheel – Ups and downs are part of life. Make sure you’re focusing on the good and not becoming hyper focused on the bad.

2. Where is it best to focus my energy at this time?

Two of Cups atop Four of Pentacles – Resolving differences and creating sense of community between those nearest and dearest to you. Union and harmony is going to be extremely important in the weeks ahead, and these themes can only be established when people feel safe and secure.

3. What mask do I need to drop?

Strength – You can’t do everything yourself no matter how much you want to believe that you can. Stop pretending. You’re not fooling yourself or anyone else. Allow others in to help you.

4. What needs to be reigned in?

Eight of Wands – Slow down. You’re starting to get ahead of yourself again. Don’t allow yourself to fall back into that horrible churning place where you feel like you’re spinning your wheels and not getting anywhere.

5. How can I be more gentle with myself during this time?

The Hermit – Make sure you are getting the extra (and yes, healthy) alone time that you need right now. This means allowing yourself time in nature whenever possible, and getting back into your meditation practice on a regular basis.

DECK USED: SURREALIST TAROT

Sugar vs Vinegar… Flowers vs Thunder

Today’s meditation was skipped because I overslept my nap and my shrink’s appointment call woke me up. I then dove right back into bank and credit fraud department calls in an effort to fix my damned card.

Heretical Fates Tarot and How to Be a Wildflower DeckToday’s draw is the Justice card, which is traditionally a representation of repercussions and other themes that have to do with cause and effect, and can often indicate the involvement of law enforcement or the legal system within a situation.

Raise your words, not your voice, is advice that I really needed today.  It’s another way of saying “you attract more bees with honey than vinegar” and… considering how frustrating today was?  I very much needed the reminder to be nice.

The thing is? Sometimes being nasty works out. But more often than not? It just makes people balk and not want to help you. When calling in to customer service, if you’re getting a new person each time, they really have absolutely nothing to do with your last experience.  So when you then “come in hot” instead of being nice? To them, it’s out of the blue.  This is hard to remember when we’re frustrated or annoyed, but if the aim is getting someone to help, you definitely don’t want them balking on the other side of the phone.

Enchanted Spell Oracle and Naibi di Giovanni VacchettaWhat am overthinking or do I tend to overthink frequently?
Intellect, Amore atop VI di Bastoni

You’ve spent too much time thinking about how others perceive you and wanting them to like you. You don’t have to overthink this. You’re a likable person, even if you don’t feel like that’s the case.

How can I find or create more inner piece for myself here?
Luxury atop Energy, IX di Dinari

Be grateful for all that you have and all those that are within your life rather than looking for more. New people and new friends are all well and good, but make sure that you aren’t forsaking those you care about and that care about you in the process.

Philosophical Question for November 17th
: Can a person without hope live a full and happy life?

Heretical Fates TarotReading Summary: By making oneself comfortable in the moment (Four of Wands), setting oneself apart from conflict and strife (Four of Swords), and fostering good relationships (Ace of Cups).

Take Away: Yes. It is possible for a person without hope to live a full and happy life.  The key to doing this successfully is to avoid the things that require hope to make one happy.

For example, if you avoid the things that make you wish for more or hope for better, and are happy with what you have and have a life filled with only good and healthy relationships, then there is less need for hope to lighten your load, as your load in life is already quite light.

This is an interesting answer for me, as I was certain the reply would be no.

I made sure to get in my smoothie, as well as my muffin and tea, even though it wasn’t easy today.  I kept getting distracted.  In fact, by the end of the day I had partially eaten plates of food all over the house as every time I tried to eat I either got interrupted or distracted.

Make It a Goal

Today’s meditation was skipped today. I could  have used it, but I was too distracted dealing with banking bullshit all day.

Jeu de Tarot Breton and How to Be a Wildflower DeckToday’s draw is the Judgement card, which is traditionally a representation of looking back on one’s history and reflecting upon if they are happy with all that they have done and become in life, as well as getting in touch with one’s true calling, and themes to do with forgiveness and absolution.

I feel like a lot of my daily cards lately have been encouraging awareness of the little things and appreciation of the small joys in life.  And here again, we are reminded that it is the celebration of small joys that is the true treasures in life.

Today’s cards are a reminder that on the journey of your path through life, a little reverie and joy is needed to lighten the load and brighten the journey.  Make sure that as you  move along in life, you are instilling joy and laughter into your days.  Make it a goal.

Lighten the path… brighten your journey.  Make your life one filled with joy.

Questions for November 12th thru 16th

Магический Oракул Западные СлавянеWhat is the difference between a responsibility and a burden, to me personally?

Responsibility is nurturing and build strength and community (Family), whereas a burden simply sucks your well of energy dry until you feel like a husk of your former self (Vampire).

What burden(s) do I hold that need to be let go?

Youth – That everything has to be upbeat and perfect all the time… that you have to be perfect all the time. This is something you were taught when you were young and it’s time to let that expectation go.

How do I accept responsibility (style/method)?

Mill – You accept responsibility by churning through what needs accomplished as quickly as possible so that you can provide more for others (and continue to pile on more and more responsibilities in doing so). It’s all about “more, more, more” and the nurturing of others by providing for them what they need.

What responsibilities of others do I shoulder, that I need to let go?

Snatch – You have a habit of seeking out and snatching up opportunities for others to hand to them, instead of teaching them (or pushing them) to seek these out on their own.

What responsibilities of my own do I allow others to shoulder, that I need to take on myself?

Spine atop Maid – Not allowing when I’m feeling vulnerable to dictate so much of my behavior and how I feel about the world around me. This puts burden on others when you do this, and you need to start figuring out how to stabilize and regulate yourself a bit better during these times.

Shadows of Light Oracle and Jeu de Tarot BretonWhat is something I underestimate myself in?

Cycles, The Hermit atop Justice – Your ability to bounce back. To ride out the waves and heal yourself from upsets and imbalances, and how important healthy alone time is to this process.

Something encouraging that could help me with this.

Discernment and Nine of Clubs – Being more discerning and building better boundaries for yourself.

Take Away: This is about the financial issues that I’m going through right now concerning the credit card fraud that happened to me at the beginning of the month. This reading indicates that I need to lighten up on the doom and gloom concerning my recovery from this incident. And there is a reminder to take more care in where I use my card in the future… as well as how often.

Full Moon in Taurus – November 2021

Coming up on Friday is the Full Moon! I’m a bit early, but like all new moons and full moons, I did a spread aligned to the moon’s current themes as a part of my recognition of the moon’s cycle and influences upon us. Today’s spread is about being rooted in prosperity, and brought to you by Sharron Basanti of Seeds of Shakti.

The Edvard Munch Tarot

1. What self-imposed beliefs connected to money do I need to release?

Page of Swords / Traumatized Child – You need to let go of the idea of that money is the key to everything. Although you acknowledge this intellectually and readily accept there is more to life than money, you still focus on monetary gain as if it is. It’s time to begin letting go of this mentality and allow yourself to learn to act in accordance with what you believe, instead of what you’ve been taught.

2. How can I use the energy of the Taurus Full Moon to break unhealthy patterns that are blocking my flow of prosperity?

Strength / Wound – Acknowledge the pains from the past, and absorb their lessons instead of allowing the wounds to sit on the surface and dictate your behavior. You do not gain additional strength by letting these wounds remain open or allowing them to fester, but you can gain strength by helping yourself to heal instead.

3. As an earth sign, what can Taurus teach me about creating a safety nest of abundance for a rainy day?

The Fool / Beginning – You are already far too rooted in this idea, and you need to loosen up. That said, banging on again and again at old methods will not produce new results, just more of the same. Sometimes, for growth and expansion beyond your current limitations, you have to break out of old habits and try something new.

4. How can I root myself to the magick of the Earth to draw in prosperity?

Seven of Pentacles / Longing – Patience. Prosperity grows over time and it’s not immediate, therefore expecting immediate gratification only leads to feelings of failure and self-flagellation.

5. Message from the Ancestors.

Knight of Cups / Connection – Do not forget that you have others in your life (both physically and spiritually) that are willing to support you in not just your day-to-day work, but also your happiness.
